DEATHBYROMY RELEASES NEW SINGLE "FIENDING FOR A LOVER"

DeathbyRomy – New Single

Los Angeles singer and songwriter DeathbyRomy plunges deeper into the dark fringes of pop as she exposes our most visceral desires on her brand new single Fiending for a Lover, out today on Capitol Records: LISTEN HERE. The single serves as DeathbyRomy’s first release since signing with leading entertainment company: SB Projects (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J Balvin).

The hard and heavy slice of mischievous alt-pop finds DeathbyRomy flirting with electronic dissonance as she confesses, My body’s growing quite impatient, I’m getting sick of all these waiting thoughts ever more potent and provocative in the depths of 2020 isolation. This song was written for all the lovesick romantics struggling with loneliness during this lockdown, she shares about the song’s inspiration. This is DeathbyRomy further merging pop, hip-hop, and electronic, and coating it all in a shiny, sexy black shimmer.

Fiending for a Lover is the follow-up to her single Kiss Me Goodbye, which dropped on May 22 and has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday, Apple Music’s New Music Daily, and YouTube Music’s Pop Rebel, while reaching nearly 2 million global streams already.

Since the release of DeathbyRomy’s 2019 Capitol Records debut EP Love u to Death, she has racked up millions of streams and garnered plenty of praise. Papermagazine dubbed her Gen Z’s dark princess of pop, while Music Connection called her a force to be reckoned with. And as her numbers keep rising, so do the accolades: DeathbyRomy gives a new definition to gothic-chic, wrote PopSugar, adding that she unapologetically brings an aesthetic fit for the underworld to the forefront of the indie scene.

About DeathbyRomy:

Singer, songwriter, and dark-pop provocateur DeathbyRomy pays attention to every last detail. She pours both pain and euphoria into her catchy but heavy music, pitting electronic melodies and propulsive beats against hypnotic vocals and deeply personal lyrics. Now 20 years old, the Los Angeles-born Romy Flores wrote her first song at age 5 and began releasing her music at 15, mining inspiration from the iconoclastic artists she was raised on (The Beatles, Kanye West, to name a few). With her 2018 debut album Monsters, she soon drew an avid following and found countless fans turning up to her shows adorned in her signature eye makeup. Her Capitol Records debut, 2019’s Love u to Death EP, was short but sickly sweet, emphasizing her unique interweaving of rap boldness, electronic innovation, and raw rock roll passion. As Romy’s sound has taken shape, so has her DeathbyRomy persona: the Harajuku punk fashion, the corpsepaint-like makeup, and her hard-earned, utterly badass confidence. Stay tuned for more new music coming soon.

BUNT. – Unbreakable

The exuberant new track, which has been 5 years in the making, is Clarence Coffee Jr.’s first vocal feature and it is also the first release off of BUNT.’s upcoming EP due out later this year. “Unbreakable” Feat. Click HERE to listen.

BUNT. says about the track, “Unbreakable is a song we’ve been working on tirelessly for over 5 years now. This song is a foundational song for us. Coffee’s performance captures the brilliance we love about the Folk/Americana world. There’s so much character in his voice. The lyrics are so powerful. It even reminds us a little bit of a poem, the wording and in the way it is written. It’s about staying strong, no matter what situation you’re in—being unbreakable. After more than 50 different versions (and this is not just a random number), we feel like we have it.”

Clarence Coffee Jr. states, “Our fragility as human beings makes us vulnerable, yet our vulnerability can be our strength. Our brittle bones and body can be worn down and broken, but our spirit, our spirit is Unbreakable. That’s what this song means to me. The immortality of the human spirit.”

Alec King – Fuck Wow Holy Shit

Los Angeles-based artist Alec King released his new song and video “Fuck Wow Holy Shit” today. In the music video, he participates in a Zoom call with five of the world’s most famous adult film actresses, including Abella Danger and Gina Valentina.

The track follows the releases of “Weekends,” “Way Up,” and “Dangerous,” which received heavy radio support in his hometown of Denver and over 2 million streams in a few months. At the end of last year Alec King went on his debut U.S. tour with Kiana Ledé, winning over crowds in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and more with his infectious charm, incredible stage presence, and catchy songs.

Is there any line this guy won’t cross? Alec King is the kind of dude who rips bars about Wisconsin and god-awful ex-girlfriends with the same passion. He considers Curb Your Enthusiasm his “Torah.” He jumps into bathtubs with Porn Stars in music videos that he directs himself. He even went so far as to name his official debut EP, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1, and its successor, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 (he backed up the latter with some heat). On the ‘gram, you’re just as likely to catch him in the shower as you are to catch him coloring with sidewalk chalk. This sort of personality endeared him to both fans and peers alike. Posting up 10 million-plus streams under-the-radar and attracting acclaim from Dancing Astronaut, he has collaborated with legends such as Biz Markie and modern stars a la Rich The Kid and Kiana Ledé. Not to mention, he did all of this D.I.Y. primarily relying on an in-house team. In 2020, he floods the game with a series of singles and more surprises.

Today, Everybody Loves an Outlaw have released two remixes of their viral hit “I See Red.”

Everybody Loves an Outlaw

Today, Everybody Loves an Outlaw have released two remixes of their viral hit “I See Red.”The dark country/rock duo enlisted Albert Harvey and Tut Tut Child to rework the track with each artist putting their own spin on the original. Listen to both remixes HERE.

Everybody Loves an Outlaw is Texas-bred, Colorado-based husband/wife duo Bonnie Sims [voice] and Taylor Sims [guitar]. For nearly a decade, the couple slogged it out in various projects, logging thousands of hours and countless gigs in bars, clubs, theaters, and anywhere else with a stage. In 2017, the musicians officially launched Everybody Loves an Outlaw. Many more shows followed before they hit the studio with producer Robbie Nevil during 2018 to record what would become their independent debut EP, I See Red. Along the way, they landed high-profile syncs in shows such as Vampire Diaries. Their quiet grind has paid off in a big way the past couple months: “I See Red” piped through a key and climactic scene in the unexpected NETFLIX smash 365 DNI, which dominated the streaming platform.

In a matter of weeks, the original version of “I See Red” tallied over 21 million Spotify streams, spent nearly two weeks at #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, topped Spotify’s US Viral Chart, trended on Apple Music, and received widespread acclaim. Idolator pegged it as a “Future Hit, and Rolling Stone dubbed it “one of the film’s most iconic tracks. Defying the rules, Everybody Loves an Outlaw turned a traditional come-up into a decidedly modern phenomenon.

Tokyo’s Revenge – BODYCOUNT

Rising rapper/artist Tokyo’s Revenge shows no sign of slowing down. Earlier today, the young artist released his new thrasher of a track; “BODYCOUNT” featuring Jasiah. The pair did not hold back on the new song, relishing in the beat’s minimal production to unleash hype energy and a mastery of quick witted lyricism for which both Tokyo and Jasiah are favored for. Cue up a mosh session (even if that’s the kitchen these days) and hit play on “BODYCOUNT” here.

“BODYCOUNT” follows the rapper’s previously released single “GOTHAM” as well as his break out single “GOODMORNINGTOKYO,” which is certified RIAA gold.

Expect a debut major label project announcement soon!

GLASS ANIMALS RELEASES NEW TRACK “IT’S ALL SO INCREDIBLY LOUD”

Glass Animals – New Track

Today, Glass Animals releases their new track “It’s All So Incredibly Loud” taken from their fast-approaching third album Dreamland out via Republic Records on August 7th. Listen to the track HERE.

It’s All Incredibly Loud” arrives hot on the heels of Glass Animals’ latest scorching, bass-heavy pop-trip, “Heat Waves,” which is currently sitting at #11 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral Chart and in the Top 35 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, as well as in the Top 10 at U.S. Triple-A and Alternative Radio. “It’s All So Incredibly Loud” swells with anticipation and expectation; its urgent, expansive, club-style keyboard melody teamed with Dave Bayley’s signature dreamlike vocals makes for a heady mix. The song comes with its own visual accompaniment, which is directed by the remarkable talent David Wilson (Tame Impala, Christine and the Queens). The video, in its own beautiful way, draws focus on the inevitable jump-off point and the terrible silence that follows.

Dave Bayley explains, “The entire song is only about three seconds of life. I think most people have been in a position where they have had to tell someone something that they knew was going to devastate them. Something that would change their life. It’s about the silence that occurs between those words leaving your mouth and the other person reacting. It’s the most deafening thing I’ve ever experienced. The video is meant to be a metaphor for the build-up before that, and then the sudden explosion of quiet that lasts forever.”

Fundamentally a nostalgic memoir of his life so far, Dreamland finds Bayley covering expansive and difficult ground. As a result, the brand-new album is packed full of intensely sensitive and personal experiences, none more emotional than when the band’s drummer, Joe Seaward, was involved in a monstrous bike accident in July 2018, which threatened his life and that of Glass Animals altogether. Born at a time of immense confusion and uncertainty for the band, it’s an album that will be very timely for the world.

Having canceled extensive international touring plans and unexpectedly navigated the release of their new album through a pandemic, the band is excited to announce their return to the stage and has shared some brand-new European and U.K. tour dates for 2021 – see here.

ABOUT GLASS ANIMALS:

Amassing over two billion global streams to date, British four-piece Glass Animals is led by singer, songwriter and producer Dave Bayley with his bandmates and childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew MacFarlane. Their second album, How To Be A Human Being, was one of the most critically acclaimed and widely adored records of 2016. With praise from various press outlets, including Billboard, Pitchfork, The FADER, The GuardianThe Telegraph and more, it was nominated for the Mercury Prize Album Of The Year Award in 2017. Glass Animals also made appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Late Show with David Letterman, Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Late Show with James Corden. As well as producing both of Glass Animals’ studio albums, ZABA and How To Be A Human Being, Dave has worked with a number of artists outside of the band, including 6lack, Khalid, Joey Bada$$, DJ Dahi, Flume and MorMor.

Surf Mesa × Gus Dapperton

20-year-old electronic producer Surf Mesa follows his smash hit “ily (i love you baby)” ft. Emilee with a new single, “Somewhere” ft. Gus Dapperton, released today.

“The bittersweet track melds elements of electronic, alt-indie and left-of-center pop, offering a wistful look back at an ill-fated relationship,” a press release reads. The video captures Surf’s trademark summer vibes as it follows him on a day trip to the Southern California desert with members of LA girl skateboard crew GRLSWIRL and Loaded Skateboards in tow. Mara Whitehead (DeathbyRomy, Bright Eyes) directed the video and Ben Del Guercio (Bodysnatch) produced.

Surf Mesa’s breakthrough hit, “ily (i love you baby)” ft. Emilee, is now certified gold in the U.S. and only continues to reach new heights with global streams now surpassing 400 million. He also recently released his remix of Marshmello and Halsey’s smash hit “Be Kind”; which flips that power-ballad pulse into a tumble through side-chained synths and broken beats. Listen HERE.

Gus Dapperton has exceeded 100 million streams and sold 17,000 copies of his debut album, Where Polly People Go To Road. On top of that, he joined BENEE in “Supalonely,” garnering 50 milion streans in the U.F. alone.
