Shaggy – It Wasn’t Me (Hot Shot 2020)

REGGAE ICON SHAGGY TO RELEASE “IT WASN’T ME (HOT SHOT 2020)” A NEW, MODERN VERSION OF HIS CLASSIC SMASH AVAILABLE APRIL 10

IN CELEBRATION OF THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS 10 MILLION-SELLING ALBUM ‘HOT SHOT,’ A BRAND-NEW ALBUM  ‘HOT SHOT 2020’- FEATURING UPDATED VERSIONS OF HIS BIGGEST HITS TO BE RELEASED

Reggae/dancehall icon, SHAGGY will unleash a new single, “It Wasn’t Me (Hot Shot 2020)” featuring vocalist, Rayvon, available April 10 on all digital platforms worldwide. Pre-save the new single HERE.

“It’s been 20 years since my album, Hot Shot and the now infamous ‘anthem’ “It Wasn’t Me” was released, says Shaggy, “and to commemorate this milestone, I decided to reproduce this classic hit. In doing so, I wanted to make sure we stayed true to the integrity of the original recording while finding ways to modernize it, being that the song remains a recurrent hit, garnering a new & younger fan base each year.”

He continues, “While it may come as a surprise, “It Wasn’t Me” is actually an anti-cheating song! In the original version, the ‘apology’ from Rik Rok comes at the very end, yet by then, most DJ’s had mixed or gone into another song, so it was often missed … the point is that the guy who was cheating didn’t follow the player’s advice.”

“I enlisted my longtime collaborator, Rayvon – one of the smoothest reggae voices in the game – to be on the new track,” he adds. “The end result feels fresh and revitalized while maintaining its pop sensibility and dancehall roots.”

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his diamond-selling album, Hot Shot, a brand-new album entitled Hot Shot 2020 will soon be released featuring revamped and modernized versions of all of Shaggy’s most beloved hits such as “Angel,” “Boombastic,” “Oh Carolina,” among many others, plus a few other surprises! Additional details to soon be announced.

Shaggy’s success in the UK is equally impressive: 16 Top 40 singles, nine of them reaching the Top 10, and four that shot to No. 1 including “It Wasn’t Me”—the largest-selling collaboration in UK chart history.

The smash records from Shaggy have kept on coming, from the certified diamond 2000 album Hot Shot, which boasted two No. 1 singles, through to 2018’s 44/876, a collaborative project with British rock icon Sting. 44/876 clocked millions of streams, entered the Top 40 in 14 different countries, remained atop the Billboard Reggae Album chart for over five months, and earned Shaggy another GRAMMY Award for Best Reggae Album.

A proven hitmaker, Shaggy has also been using his platform to help his community and beloved home, Jamaica. His Shaggy & Friends charity concerts have raised millions for the Bustamante Children’s Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.

NYC “Guardian Angels” Help Homeless

Guardian Angels Wash, Feed Homeless on NYC Subways Amid COVID-19

‘Nearly 1 in every 125 New Yorkers is homeless’

In the vast NYC Subway system, there are 472 stations and 23 different subway lines. Even during normal times, the homeless and the many Emotionally Disturbed Persons choose the subways and trains to ride back and forth on to stay warm and dry, says  Curtis Sliwa, founder of the  Guardian Angels, a non-profit organization that has been helping people worldwide since 1979.

Now that we are under the Corona Virus Spread, NYC being the worst area, the presence of the homeless and EDP’s, is more pronounced. They are in desperate need of help but no Government agencies are doing interventions. They have locked their offices and sheltered in. The NYC Guardian Angels have filled the void.

The Guardian Angels walk up and down the trains first doing Wellness Checks. Then they approach the homeless who live on the train and have them wash their hands with alcohol wipes. The Angels give them a care package with water, food and wipes. They also use disinfectant and wipe down the areas that the homeless are either sitting in or laying down on. No one else is doing this.

“Nobody is tending to the homeless and emotionally disturbed, a population where Coronavirus could spread like wildfire,” Guardian Angel founder  Curtis Sliwa recently told The Post.

Unlike our politicians who spend every day blaming one another for this Corona Virus Flu spreading, the Guardian Angels, are showing how people should not wait around for our leaders to figure out that they must work together on these problems.

The Guardian Angels say “FEAR NOT.” Take proactive measures. Mother Teresa and her nuns didn’t wait for governments to deal with the Lepers in the Leper colonies. They took proactive measures and helped those who had Leprosy. By the way, they didn’t wear masks or gloves. We are safe and we will continue to come to the aid of those who have been forgotten and ignored. The Homeless and the many EDP’s.

According to the non-profit The Bowery Mission, nearly one in every 125 New Yorkers is homeless,  reports Emily Drooby of NetTV

About the Guardian Angels
In 1979, New York City was the crime capital of the United States. Along with many NYC natives, Curtis Sliwa grew tired of the subway threats, street fights and fearful nights. These dangers and lack of control were the impetus for Sliwa’s groundbreaking idea: The Guardian Angels. Conceived as a grassroots opportunity for individuals to rally with one another, The Guardian Angels quickly became an international phenomenon. Known by their signature red berets, the Angels’ persona stood for justice and the empowerment of individuals.

Today, The Guardian Angels have expanded into 14 countries and over 140 cities. The volunteer organization continues to flourish as individuals assume local responsibility for their communities. It is a constant example of the power of “Us and We, not I and Me.”

LOOTE MUSIC, 360 MAGAZINE

LOOTE MUSIC

Emotions turn on a dime. In the span of just one Loote song, you might get up and dance, sit back down and let out a tear, or return to your feet and fall in love again. In a similar manner, the New York duo—Jackson Foote and Emma Lov—fashion self-described “cry jams” out of alternative, electronic, and pop elements. Bathed in the glow of neon production and artful instrumentation, the pair put on a different kind of party…

“We make music you can jam out to while you cry,” says Jackson. “It’s funny, but it’s true.”

“The songs are a vibe,” Emma elaborates. “I feel like we’re always in the middle. So many people are worried about losing themselves, finding themselves, and not knowing who they are when they come out on the other side. It’s a struggle I dealt with for a long time too. We’ve figured out how to talk about this in our music, because we found the right midpoint between these emotions. We exist in our own crevice of what you’d call pop.”

They occupy this space quite comfortably as well.

Since first united by a professor at SUNY Purchase College, these two kindred spirits have quietly positioned themselves for pop ubiquity. The group’s 2018 debut EP, single., gathered nearly 150 million cumulative streams in under a year. As they averaged over 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, “High Without Your Love” and “Your Side of the Bed” both leapt past the 40 million-mark, while superstar Joe Jonas lent his inimitable pipes to “Longer Than I Thought.” In between supporting Eric Nam on tour and performing at the Hot 100 Festival, they attracted critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Idolator, Baeble, Substream, and many more. Jackson co-produced and co-wrote Zara Larsson’s “Ruin My Life” which recently was certified gold. Additionally, they collaborated with David Guetta and Brooks on the 2019 smash “Better When You’re Gone.”

Rileyy Lanez – “Left 4 Me”

RISING R&B SINGER/SONGWRITER RILEYY LANEZ DEBUTS NEW SONG “LEFT 4 ME”

Watch the Official Video HERE

Today, budding R&B songstress Rileyy Lanez has released a new song “Left 4 Me” – listen HERE. Written by Rileyy and producers Click N Press (Dreamville, Queen Naija), “Left 4 Me” chronicles how one can feel alone and fed up with imbalances in a relationship. The track comes alongside an official video with Rileyy’s hometown of NYC as the backdrop. Watch HERE.

In speaking about the track, Rileyy says: “‘Left 4 Me’ is about a time I was so busy dwelling on the person I was with and making their mind up instead of focusing on me. Writing the song was a lesson in disguise instead of dwelling on something I can’t have, it taught me to focus on all the things I do have and that’s myself, my career, happiness, freedom etc. The video shows that shift, I’m literally in the street dancing with my girls, releasing the hurt, being free, and moving on.”

Born and raised in the Bronx, 19-year-old Rileyy Lanez pulls no punches with her heart-on-her sleeve R&B music. In May of 2019, she released her original song “I’m Leaving,” which has over 16M streams and 7M+ video views. Rileyy is also featured on Lil Tjay’s album track “Post To Be,” and just last week she launched her vlog series “LANEZ LIFE” – watch the first episode HERE.

5 Reasons Why You Need Coin Tubes

Coin collection is a significant way to preserve history. The safety of your coins is essential if you want to avoid damage. A coin tube is one of the most simple and effective ways in which you can protect your collection.

Coin tubes are available in different styles. You can get round, clear plastic tubes or opaque square plastic tubes. If you’re still wondering why you should get one, check out the following benefits.

Protect Against Acid

Acid can come from several different sources. As time passes, acid can penetrate the cardboard papers and paper coin sleeves, causing toning and tarnish, particularly to copper and silver coins.

You’re also likely to get acid from adhesives that are mostly utilized in packaging. Wood furniture and daily household materials, such as cleaning solutions and vapors, are other acid sources.

Protect from Air Pollution

Air pollution is not only harmful to human health but also coins. It is common in urban areas where smog from vehicles and industries penetrates through the buildings. Although specific measures have been taken to limit the dangerous gases emitted by cars, they still exist in sufficient quantity for coin damage.

In that case, an openly stored coin will not be spared. Fortunately, with coin tubes, you can avoid this damage.

Keep Off the Human Touches

You may think that this is absurd, but touching your coins with bare hands is enough to cause damage. High-grade rare coins are most susceptible to this kind of problem.

The damage takes place once your fingers come into contact with mint state or proof coins. Once this happens, the oil on your hands will stick to the coin surfaces, which can cause discoloring and microscopic scratching on your coins.

All in all, this can be avoided by storing your collection in a durable and airtight coin tube. Consequently, you will no longer have to worry about contamination that can result from your hands.

Protect the Coins from a fall

Dropping your coin on a hard surface is another way in which it can be damaged. The impact can cause an irreversible effect that can lower the quality of your piece. A corroded, dented, scratched or gouged coin is a damaged one.

Fortunately, with the right environment, you will not have to worry about this. Coin tubes can protect your coins against any potential harm. That will, in return, preserve the quality of your pieces.

Humidity

Humidity is a dangerous enemy of a coin. That is because silver and copper are the common materials used during production. The two metals tend to react immediately when they come into contact with water. However airtight coin tubes can protect your coins.

Coin tubes are an excellent way to store and organize your coins and keep them safe from
contamination. If you need one, places like Hobbymaster are here to help you.
