Jeremy Zucker’s Glisten EP

Multi-talented singer, songwriter and producer, Jeremy Zucker’s new EP, glisten, is out now—listen here.

glisten features Zucker’s recently released tracks, “all the kids are depressed” and “better off” with rising artist Chelsea Cutler. See the full tracklist below.

Of the EP, Jeremy says, “I wrote this EP during my senior year of college while I was doing my best to balance the pressures of school, music and a decent social life. glisten is a collection of the thoughts, feelings and memories that kept me sane these past ten months.”

Before entrancing listeners across the world, 21-year-old singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker had been quietly carving out his distinct sound from a bedroom in suburban New Jersey. A self-described “social introvert,” Zucker cites Jon Bellion, blackbear, EDEN, Bon Iver and Wet among his strongest influences. In the summer of 2015, Zucker released his first official EP titled Beach Island. The project saw a small amount of success, and from there Zucker steadily began to build a dedicated fan base.

Later that year, he released a stream of singles that would eventually be packaged together as an EP titled Breathe. The project’s breakout single “Bout It” quickly garnered millions of streams as it organically spread across Soundcloud and Spotify, drawing the attention of curators and fans across the world. In 2016, Zucker released his third EP, Motions, which features “Heavy,” a song that was later remixed by the recording artist blackbear who reached out to Jeremy after stumbling across his music on Soundcloud. The remix, “Make Daddy Proud,” was released on blackbear’s latest LP Digital Druglord. In 2017, Zucker was signed with Republic Records and released his third EP, idle. The EP features his breakout hit, “talk is overrated” (feat. blackbear), which has over 15 million Spotify streams to date. Further music is set for release this spring.

‘That Feeling When’

Critically acclaimed Norwegian pop art-songstress Dagny is back with her brand new single “That Feeling When” today.

Get it HERE via Republic Records and check out the video HERE!

Underscored by buzzing electronics and dancefloor-ready energy, the track slips from hypnotic verses into a seismic refrain that’s impossible to shake. In addition, the official video for “That Feeling When” is Dagny’s most personal video to date as it was shot in Dagny’s hometown of Troms and the live performance footage was taken from a special performance in Oslo. The video premiered with Billboard.com who called it “beautiful & breathtaking.” Check out the premiere here.

On the new song Dagny said That Feeling When’ is my first single in 2018. The song shows another side of me as an artist, with a more melancholic, epic and atmospheric sound. It was written on an early autumn day in the studio, on my favorite instruments, the Omni chord. The inspiration for the song came from the hashtag #ThatFeelingWhen, and was written from my personal histories of not only falling in love, but also sorrow. It will be the first of two singles that will be released before the summer, and I hope that ´That Feeling When´ can create a different feeling for the listeners than my previous songs.”

In tandem with the song’s release, she hit the road on a short sold out North American tour. It kicked off April 22 in Toronto, Ontario at Adelaide Hall and rolls through select major markets before closing out May 4 at Popscene in San Francisco, CA.

Check out the full itinerary below!

With a singular sound, style, and spirit, Dagny is quietly ascending to the forefront of pop just under the radar. She recently guested on Seeb’s new track “Drink About” which has gone viral with nearly 14 million streams worldwide and hit Top 5 on Spotify charts in Scandinavia. Check out “Drink About” here!

2017 saw Dagny star in a high-profile Target campaign covering Andrea True’s 70’s Classic “More More, More” in addition to supporting LANY on tour in between her own tour dates. Last year, VEVO also touted her among its “Ones to Watch” as the single “Wearing Nothing” surpassed over 13 million Spotify streams.

Post a high-profile Beats 1 premiere by tastemaker Zane Lowe, 2016’s “Backbeat” transformed into a veritable smash, racking up a staggering nearly 33 million Spotify streams as Apple, Spotify, and Tidal pegged her as an “Artist To Watch” and Interview Magazine, NME, Nylon, Forbes, and more lauded her. She teamed up with BØRNS for “Fool’s Good,” which hit nearly 10 million streams and highlighted her Ultraviolet EP [Republic Records].

GGG Does It Again

By: Rana Salloom and Maria Campos

As the sun set over the horizon in Southern California, the energy at the StubHub Center was enveloped by excitement as fans chanted, “Triple GGG, Triple GGG.” This sensational boxer is the middleweight Champion of the World and tonight’s fight against Martirosyan is a continuation of all his hard work. Despite the cancelation of his scheduled fight against Canelo Alvarez, that was set for Cinco de Mayo. Being the peoples champ, his team and The Chivas Fight Club, decided to set an unprecedented fight against Martirosyan to give his fans the fight they deserve. This fight was not only for his fans, but also a champaign to inspire individuals to have a fighting spirit.

Attendees were treated to an aged-whiskey tasting at the Tunnel Club hosted by The Chivas Fight Club. After the VIP pre-party, attendees congregated over to the stadium where the boxing tournament was being held. The crowd waited in anticipation as the women’s tournament ended and the officials set up for the main event, Triple GGG vs Martirosyan. Fans cheered as the announcers spoke over the loud speaker and introduced the fighters onto the stage. Martirosyan walked into the ring first as Triple GGG followed.

The action began, as Triple GGG gave his opponent, Martirosyan, jabs to the upper and lower body. The audience was in awe as Martirosyan responded with a right-left hook. This did little to nothing to Triple GGG as he responded by hitting his opponents midsection. This weakened Martirosyan as he moved along the ring. After a few more hits to and from the upper and lower body Triple GGG went for the jugular and knocked out Martirosyan in the second round.

Fans chanted with joy as the middleweight Champion of the World retrieved to his throne and proved once again why he is a force to be reckoned with.

Olsen Gruin is pleased to present Beyond the Veil, a group exhibition of Western Desert Paintings curated by the President of the Aboriginal Art Association of Australia, Adam Knight. The anticipated show features select works by Emily Kame KngwarreyeEvelyn Pultara, Gabriella Possum NungurrayiGayla PwerlePolly Ngale, and the Women’s Collaborative comprising Beverly Cameron; Kathy Marinkga, Imitjala Curley, and Tjangili George, and will be on view from May 16 – July 8, 2018.

Beyond the Veil celebrates the divine use of dots by Australian Aboriginal artists. It honors the unique method of layering and the shimmering presence of dots throughout the whole of each canvas by the true inventors of this now praised artistic style. As Aboriginal art further secures its place as a significant movement in the international art world, it is undeniable that non-indigenous artists from around the globe will find inspiration within these prized works.

It is widely accepted that Australian Aboriginals have the oldest continuous culture on the planet. The rise of contemporary Australian Aboriginal art was described by art critic and writer Robert Hughes, as “the last great art movement of the twentieth century.” Whilst the works are considered contemporary, they are derived from a cultural awareness and sacred knowledge that remains preserved by artists such as those exhibited here.

Beyond the Veil aims to remind viewers of the cultural narrative that celebrates the presence of the dot and acknowledges the genius of its use by its originators: the artists from Australia’s first people.

Africa Top success : The creator and his work has been a “great attraction” for the public Masa…

Fratmat : From the first day of the 10th edition of the Arts Market in Abidjan (Masa), we were impressed by an artist: Bob Atisso.

Culturiche : A sculptor of sand, star of the art market …

Bob Atisso is a Togolese sand sculptor. Ephemeral creations are his specialty. An art form which translates the meaning of life. The secret of his sculptors comes from the field of physics.

His creations have clearly drawn attention. Over the past years Bob Atisso has won the Public Award in India, the 2nd Prize at World Sand Sculpting  championship in Taiwan, the 1st place at the Ruse Sandfest in Russia, 2nd at the Sentosa Sandsation in Singapour and the list continues…

Words are not strong enough to describe the works of Bob. Extremely precise, it often happens that one wonders how such monuments can be built  with almost exclusively bare hands and sand as only material.

In his work, he masterfully presents the daily life in Africa while giving the artistic touch a special engineering. Bringing to life the sand is respecting nature.

SMOKER’S CLUB FESTIVAL

The Smoker’s Club Festival experience is more of a paradise than a membership. Tailored entirely for the Californian smoker culture, everything from the lineup to the food proves that. With some legendary performances from headliners such as Wiz Khalifa and Kid Cudi, this event is impossible to pass up even for the average concert goer. The diverse arrangement of artists shows that these people know their crowd and every type of sound they love. There’s something for everyone with artists like Mac Miller, Lil Skies, and Dom Kennedy. Based in the hip-hop heavy area of Long Beach every artist that comes through shows love to the OG’s such as Snoop Dogg and the new comers like Vince Staples. Even if you don’t take part in the smoking activities some artists will even share from their supply as well. As someone that went alone I found the crowd and it’s people to be extremely friendly as far as festivals go. They all came for a good experience with some of their favorite artists playing classics and older mixtapes. The buzz for this festival grew the moment the line-up was announced and I’m sure many are impatiently waiting to see what they have up their sleeve for next time.
