Loki at Madame Tussauds via 360 MAGAZINE

LOKI × MADAME TUSSAUDS

LOKI OF ASGARD WAX FIGURE COMES TO MADAME TUSSAUDS NEW YORK WITH GLORIOUS PURPOSE

Loki Makes Worldwide Debut at New York Comic Con Before Arriving in Times Square, Adding a Little Mischief to the World’s Greatest Wax Museum

Loki, God of Mischief, is teleporting straight to Madame Tussauds New York in Times Square after an official debut at New York Comic Con. The Loki figure is inspired by his character from the quintessential ‘Battle of New York’ sequence featured in Marvel Studios’ The Avengers (2012), making New York City the perfect home for The God of Mischief. To celebrate the arrival, Madame Tussauds placed the Loki figure in front of Grand Central Terminal, an iconic view immediately recognizable by Marvel fans as the site of the battle and one of the most historic New York City landmarks. The notorious Asgardian trickster is sporting his classic headpiece, glowing scepter and green and gold cloak. No, this Loki is not shape-shifting, but strikingly based on the likeness of English actor Tom Hiddleston.

“We’re so excited to introduce everybody’s favorite villain, Loki, into the Hall of Heroes,” said Madame Tussauds New York Marketing Executive Ben Shapiro. “The Loki figure will live around the corner – but never in the shadow – of his brother and frequent foe Thor. We know fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be beyond thrilled to encounter the mischievous Prince of Asgard at Madame Tussauds New York.”

Each figure created by Madame Tussauds represents people, characters and icons who have reached the top of their field or made a significant impact on the world or within the pop-culture zeitgeist. As one of the all time favorite arch-supervillains turned anti-hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Loki is the perfect character to receive the ‘royal’ wax figure treatment and stand amongst other Marvel Super Heroes, including Black Panther, Spider-Man, Thor – God of Thunder and the legendary creator Stan Lee. Tom Hiddleston’s iconic character is featured in more than six feature films, as well as the eponymous role in the live-action series Marvel Studios’ Loki (2021) on Disney+.

“Our teams at Marvel and Madame Tussauds have been working together for years to bring some of our most iconic characters to life, so we’re thrilled to see Loki join their lineup of Marvel Super Heroes for fans to see for themselves in New York,” said Brian Crosby, Director of Themed Entertainment Development at Marvel. “We can’t wait to unveil the first look for this Loki figure during New York Comic Con this year at the Marvel booth.”

This latest wax figure installation comes on the heels of the recently added Marvel Universe 4D cinema experience and an expansion to the MARVEL Hall of Heroes, both part of a multimillion-dollar investment into North America’s flagship Madame Tussauds attraction.

  • Oat Bran – This can both help minimize wrinkles and buff away dead skin cells.

Life house inn newly renovated just in time for travel season via 360 Magazine

LIFE HOUSE

Following extensive renovations, three-storied boutique properties located in downtown Lenox are reopening together as part of The Lenox Collection, a newly reimagined family of inns connected by their deep historical roots in the town and elevated contextual design. As part of the reopening is Ophelia’s, a 66-seat restaurant and bar offering farm-to-table comfort food in an intimate indoor-outdoor setting, with locally sourced ingredients and a curated cocktail list. New York-based firm 388 Ventures acquired the properties in 2021 and brought on an independent hotel management company, Life House, to lead design and branding, as well as oversee all hotel and F&B operations leveraging their tech-enabled management platform.

“We’re pleased to announce the launch of The Lenox Collection, with a design language that pays homage to each property’s history while catering directly to the clientele visiting the increasingly popular four-season destination that the Berkshires have become. With Ophelia’s reopening right downtown, we’re excited to be a mainstay in the already impressive Lenox culinary scene,” says Russell Lange, partner at 388 Ventures.

At the heart of the collection is the Whitlock – formally The Church Street Inn – built-in 1771 by John Whitlock, a local farmer who turned his two-room farmhouse into an inn for stagecoach travelers. The property now takes cues from its natural surroundings with a rustic and warm feel reminiscent of its farmhouse origins. The Whitlock’s bar and restaurant, Ophelia’s, pays homage to the ingredients and labors of the hotel’s namesake. With locally-inspired farm-to-table cuisine with dishes featuring herbs & garnishes from local purveyors, Ophelia’s is already becoming a favorite among locals, guests, and downtown bypassers.

Located in the historic center of town is The Constance – formally the Rookwood Inn – which was built in 1825 as The Williams Tavern. In the 1880s it was purchased by Frederick Constance Peters, a businessman from England, who turned the property into ancillary lodging for owners of Lenox’s famed Gilded Age estates. The inn has been completely reimagined with an extensive renovation to restore and enhance the elegant charm and whimsical character of the storied property with the benefit of modern guest amenities.

On the north side of town is The Dewey – formally the Birchwood Inn – which was originally built by Israel Dewey, a founding member of Lenox’s Continental Congress Committee when the town was incorporated in 1767. Over the years, the site has taken on many lives, owned by various influential figures in the Berkshires. Today, the newly-reappointed inn carries on its rich tradition of hospitality with elevated guest room interiors and stately common areas.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce The Lenox Collection as the Berkshire hospitality landscape continues to mature,” says Bryan Dunn, Managing Director and Head of Growth at Life House. “In the past year alone, the market has seen luxury lifestyle brand Miraval open their first East Coast property, world-renowned designer Ken Fulk acquire the Blantyre, and Life House breathes new life into the Wheatleigh, a Leading Hotels of World property. The Lenox Collection delivers a locally-rooted boutique experience at a more accessible price point than these Five Star luxury hotels, catering to a large and diverse audience that is currently underserved by existing options in the market.”

Life House is a vertically integrated hotel software & operations platform focused on increasing profitability and reliability for independent hoteliers. Life House was founded in 2017 as one of the only vertically integrated asset-light hotel companies backed by institutional venture and private equity investors. The company is ambitiously investing in operational systems to make it far more profitable, predictable, and seamless for owners while making the guest experience more reliable for travelers. Today the company has nearly 60 hotels in its portfolio across North America.

The Meals of an Album

FEIST RELEASES PLEASURES: THE MEALS OF AN ALBUM, DECEMBER 11

Cookbook Chronicles Communal Meals While Recording Latest Release

Proceeds to Benefit Food Security Programs

Feist announces the December 11 release of Pleasures: The Meals Of An Album, a cookbook companion to her latest studio album, Pleasure. Written jointly by Adrienne Amato – chef at Pleasure’s recording session – and Leslie Feist. The Meals Of An Album is summed as “11 days in the studio and over 40 recipes” and contains vegetarian recipes organized on a song-by-song, day-by-day basis of what Amato made while the band was recording.

The 122-page lushly illustrated book is a fan’s immersive sensory soundtrack to the making of the album, offering instruction in the preparation of meals which Feist and her bandmates shared while recording Pleasure.

The making of an album is a communal process on many levels,” reveals Feist, “and that extended to the community of the kitchen while we were recording. We hope this book will embolden you to expand your repertoire, stock up on simple staples and invite friends into your kitchen to cook some of these meals with them.”

Recognizing the pressures facing many households throughout the year but especially over the holiday season, Feist will donate proceeds from all sales of The Meals Of An Album to Community Food Centres Canada, a nonprofit that builds and supports vibrant community spaces in low-income communities where people come together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food for all.

Pleasures: The Meals Of An Album is available exclusively throughwww.feiststore.com.

Feist made her U.S. debut in 2004 with Let It Die (featuring “Mushaboom”) which won the Juno Award for Best Alternative Rock Album and garnered major international critical acclaim. Her 2007 follow-up, The Reminder, debuted in the Top 20 in the U.S. and was hailed by The Village Voice as a “great batch of simple, precisely arranged love songs — expertly produced, delectably sung.” The album, featuring singles “1234” and “My Moon My Man”, went on to sell more than a million units globally and won Feist the 2007 Shortlist Music Prize (making her only the second woman to ever win the award). After a several-year hiatus — during which she co-created Look At What The Light Did Now, a documentary about the making of The Reminder and her subsequent tour — Feist returned with Metals in 2011. Debuting at #9 on Billboard, it was named Album of the Year by the New York Times and won the Polaris Prize and four more Juno Awards. Released in April via Interscope/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, Pleasure reflects on secrets and shame, loneliness and tenderness, care and fatigue and is at its core a study on self-awareness. While each album is a departure from the next, Pleasure finds the four-time Grammy Award nominee again showing the extraordinary depth of her artistry. Recorded over the course of three months—in Stinson Beach, Upstate New York, and Paris —Pleasure was co-produced by Feist with longtime collaborators Renaud Letang and Mocky. [insert chart debuts / milestones for Pleasure] To date, Feist’s music has sold over three million units worldwide and amassed more than 500 million streams.
