Phantogram “Into Happiness”

Phantogram are officially back! Today, the duo returns with their new single “Into Happiness”—listen and share HERE.

Announcing their return,
Phantogram wrote a special letter to fans, noting about the song that it “embodies the personal journey that both of us have taken since we released Three; it’s been a long path, coming out of the darkness and into the light.”

“Into Happiness” is
Phantogram’s first release in three years since their 2016 chart-topping and career-defining album, Three, which featured lead single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore.” In celebration of this new chapter for the band, they will be touring North America this summer, kicking off on August 16th in Reno, NV and making stops at New York’s King Theater on September 5th, Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem on September 6th, Atlanta’s Tabernacle on September 9th and more, as well as playing festival sets at Life Is Beautiful, Hopscotch Music Festival and others. The full list of tour dates can be found below, and tickets are available now at phantogram.com. Stay tuned for more from Phantogram!

Phantogram – the New York duo of Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel— has continued to change the zeitgeist for almost a decade by consistently challenging it with their signature blend of hard-hitting beats, guitar-driven dark psychedelia, and electronic pop. Since the arrival of 2010’s Barsuk Records debut release Eyelid Movies, the pair has amassed nearly half-a-billion streams, achieved two Gold-Certified singles in the form of “Fall In Love” and “When I’m Small,” headlined sold out shows worldwide, become a festival staple, and toured with artists including The xx, Muse, M83, Alt-J and more.

Their 2016 third full-length,
Three, reached career-high positions on the Billboard Top 200 chart (#9) and Billboard Top Albums Sales chart (#5), as the lead single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” climbed the alternative radio charts. The album was also met with critical acclaim from Pitchfork, Billboard, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, People, Vogue, New York Magazine, The FADER, Stereogum, NYLON, PAPER and many others.

Three
was completed in the wake of Barthel’s sister’s passing due to suicide, a shattering event which brought suicide prevention awareness to the forefront of the band’s consciousness and has informed their charitable giving and community outreach ever since, thus their decision to donate a portion of ticket sales to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. One dollar from the purchase of each ticket to their upcoming headline performances will be donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

OTR “Heart” Music Video ft. Shallou

After amassing over 1.5 million cumulative streams in under a month and attracting universal acclaim, OTR shares the music video for his buzzing new single, “Heart” ft. Shallou, today.

The elegant visual follows two lonely souls as they enter an ornate antique home where luminous reflections and

glistening daylight give form to the song’s resounding piano chords and shimmering production. The protagonists gravitate towards one another—only for the touch to disappear like an apparition. Shallou’s entrancing chant, “In your heart,” sums

up the ghostly romance at the center of the gorgeous clip.

Beyond its runaway streaming success thus far, “Heart” ascended to #8 on the Sirius XM Chill Chart where it steadily

rises. Additionally, T.H.E. Music Essentials featured him in an in-depth interview. Meanwhile, acclaim pours in with Earmilk recently putting it best, “Two masters of dreamy production have come together, and hearts around the world may never. be the same.” Right now, OTR continues readying more music for release very soon. Be on the lookout!

Shallou – an independent artist who has earned SiriusXM #1 spots with tracks like “Lie” and “Begin” and landed on the Billboard Dance charts – played “Heart” live for the massive crowd that gathered in the Sahara Tent for his set at both weekends of Coachella 2019.

Ryan, the 26-year old aerospace engineer-turned-producer behind OTR, uncovered his passion for music in 2012,

when he began tinkering on a dusty, run-down piano in his college dorm lobby to break up the routine of classes and studying. Shortly thereafter, he picked up a guitar and began experimenting with Logic on his MacBook Pro. Taking an internship in Japan in 2014, he found himself living in the small town of in Kurashiki, with no friends and a major language barrier. To combat the isolation, he purchased a keyboard and a train pass and spent all his free time making music and traveling to bigger cities. When he returned to the States, Ryan moved into a neighborhood on the outskirts of downtown Cincinnati known as “Over-the-Rhine” or OTR. The once-neglected area had undergone a renaissance that mirrored his own

journey of discovery as music went from hobby to career goal, so it became the ideal name for his project.

As an independent artist, OTR has released a series of singles and the 2018 EP Unfold, racking up more than 7

The Line of Best Fit observed, “OTR produces complex summer tinged pop that begs to be danced to.” NYLON noted, “A song called ‘Bliss’ has a lot to live up to. Luckily…[it] achieves just that-tenfold.” Praising his 2018 collaboration with Blondage, “Cold Facts,” Ones To Watch said, “we’re confident with just one push of the play button, you will become an instant devotee.” Last week, Thissongissick premiered OTR’s remix of RKCB’s “Know Love”,

and noted, “he has really outdone himself…another incredible release.”

Kate Tempest “Holy Elixir”

Critically acclaimed British spoken word artist, rapper, poet, novelist and playwright Kate Tempest unveils her new track “Holy Elixir” today—listen HERE! “Holy Elixir” is taken from her highly anticipated third studio album, The Book of Traps and Lessons, out June 14th via American Recordings/Republic Records. The album, which was produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin and Tempest’s longtime collaborator Dan Carey, is available for pre-order HERE.

Kate explains the inspiration behind the song saying, “‘Holy Elixir’ was written as a kind of incantation. A psychedelic trip back to the beginning and deep into the present. It happens at a crucial point within the body of the album. It’s the penultimate moment. Taken out of that context, it stands on its own here.”

“Holy Elixir” follows Tempest’s previously-released song “
Firesmoke,” which recently received praise from NPR Music, Consequence of Sound, Hot New Hip Hop, Brooklyn Vegan, Clash Magazine, The Line Of Best Fit, DIY Mag and many more.

The Book of Traps and Lessons
was crafted with Rubin and Carey over the course of the past five years. It follows Tempest’s previous releases, 2014’s Everybody Down and 2016’s Let Them Eat Chaos, both of which were shortlisted for Mercury Prize in 2014 and 2017, respectively. Last year, Kate Tempest was nominated at The BRIT Awards for Best Female Solo Performer.

A handful of words often tell you everything you need to know. When asked, who is
Kate Tempest? She gives a brief, albeit telling answer. “Kate Tempest is the words,” she responds. You haven’t ever seen, heard, or experienced anyone quite like her. Tempest uncovers the missing link between the Golden Ages of literature and hip-hop. The London-born BRIT Award-nominated spoken word artist, rapper, poet, novelist, and playwright rhymes with a century-turning fury. Since her emergence in 2011, she has redefined what it means to be a wordsmith in the Modern Age. To date, she has published three poetry collections, staged three plays, and released two studio albums. Along the way, she entranced audiences on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, NPR’s “Tiny Desk,” and more. Not to mention, she garnered widespread critical acclaim from The New York Times, The New Yorker, Forbes, and more, to name a few. In the midst of this whirlwind journey, she performed a passage of her popular 75-minute narrative poem, Brand New Ancients, on Charlie Rose. Legendary producer and American Recordings Founder Rick Rubin caught the show, tracked down her phone number, and made a call. This set a series of events in motion that led to her 2019 debut album for American Recordings, The Book of Traps and Lessons, set for release on June 14th.

THE BOOK OF TRAPS AND LESSONS
 TRACKLIST:

  1. “Thirsty”
  2. “Keep Moving Don’t Move”
  3. “Brown Eyed Man”
  4. “Three Sided Coin”
  5. “I Trap You”

ROBERTO WIRTH × HOTEL DE LA VILLE

ROBERTO WIRTH, OWNER AND GM OF THE HOTEL HASSLER ROMA, SALUTES THE REBIRTH OF THE HOTEL DE LA VILLE

“The reopening of the Hotel De La Ville is a testament to the fact that the summit of the Spanish Steps is the location of choice for luxury travelers to Rome,” says Roberto Wirth, whose family has owned and run the neighboring Hotel Hassler Roma for 90 years.

Once the headquarters of General Eisenhower’s administration at the end of World War II, the Hotel Hassler Roma has long been the Roman address of choice for royalty and celebrities. “Over the decades, we have succeeded in maintaining a level of excellence, discretion, innovation, elegance, superior service and Michelin-star cuisine. Some of the most famous people on earth stay with us – and we ensure that neither the public nor the press ever know they’re here.”

The Hotel De La Ville, which abuts the Hotel Hassler Roma, was acquired some years ago by Britain’s Sir Rocco Forte and reopened on May 23. “The rebirth of the Hotel De La Ville makes a triumvirate of luxury hotels atop the Spanish Steps and near the Borghese Gardens, for it was two years ago, that a reborn Eden Hotel (once owned by my family, and where I was born!) was also unveiled after its acquisition by the Sultan of Brunei’s Dorchester Collection.”

Asked whether he saw the rebirth of the Hotel De La Ville as competition for the Hotel Hassler Roma, Wirth responded, “there are thousands of visitors every year to Rome in search of the finest accommodations, and while we are competitors, we are also friends – and there is more than enough business in the Eternal City for all of us.”

Wirth stressed that while there are many neighborhoods of Rome in which travelers seek to stay, “our location atop the Spanish Steps, convenient to the Rome’s best shopping and most significant sites, yet somewhat removed from the bustle of the Piazza di Spagna, is absolutely ideal for travelers to the capital.”

For more information about Hotel Hassler Roma, visit: www.hotelhasslerroma.com.

ABOUT HOTEL HASSLER ROMA:

Wirth, fifth generation of a famous Swiss hotelier dynasty. For more than a century, Hotel Hassler Roma has continued its legacy as Rome’s five-star lodging of choice for the world’s elite and discerning travelers. Each of the 87 rooms, 21 of which are suites, is individually designed with an elegant combination of classic and contemporary touches. Highlights include the Michelin-starred panoramic restaurant, Imàgo, the Salone Eva and Palm Court restaurant and the Hassler Bar, as well as the neighboring, Hassler-owned II Palazzetto, a hotel, wine bar and special event space.

Trippie Red Releases video for new song “Under New Enemy”

Today multi-platinum Canton, OH, rapper and singer Trippie Redd releases the video for his the first single, Under Enemy Arms from his upcoming project.

We had left Trippie Redd in Topanga, the visual from A Love Letter To You 3 (at almost 10 million views) where he was a cult leader. He hadn’t amassed the following he has today and the video for Under Enemy Arms shows the scale of the following Trippie has amassed and the power that comes with that. In the narrative he’s turned into a powerful demonic leader. This evolution shows the major transformation Trippie Redd has undertaken with his sound, self, and vision.

Trippie Redd’s November 9, 2019, album A Love Letter To You 3 entered the Billboard Top 200 at, fittingly, number 3, and that week he held the title of the most streamed album in America. That marked Trippie’s second Top 5 in 3 months on Billboards Mainstream Top 200 Charts (In August, 2018, Redd’s Life’s A Trip LP entered #4 on the Billboard 200). He is currently at 3.5 BILLION streams.

XXL wrote Trippie succeeds by placing Redd’s narrative at its core and leaning into the inventive melodies that initially put the young rapper on the map. Lyrically, Trippie is direct. Vocally, his balance between restrained and bombastic delivery is unmatched Trippie recently graced the Jimmy Kimmel Live! outdoor Hollywood stage with a performance of Topanga Watch it HERE.&#a0;He also performed his other hit song Taking A Walk Watch it HERE.

In addition to generating nearly 4 billion streams, Trippie was named a Spotify Rise Artist, an Artist to Watch by Rolling Stone, and landed on the cover of the 2018 XXL Freshman Class. Singing real shit that people all over the world can relate to timeless, says Trippie. Timeless music literally is a concept I can live on.

Trippie Redd’s singles love scars and Dark Night Dummo [feat.Travis Scott] are RIAA certified platinum. His songs Poles 1469 and Bust Down are certified gold. He has collaborated with everyone from Travis Scott, Diplo, Julia Michaels, Lil Yachty, D.R.A.M., Alison Wonderland,Rising and Rich The Kid.

Trippie’s breakout mixtapes A Love Letter To You and A Love Letter To You 2 hit the stratosphere in 2017. Praised for his lyrics as well as his style, he chronicles love and heartbreak from the streets and experience. Trippie became serious upon becoming a rapper upon encouragement from his late older brother. Trippie Redd would later get a scar tattoo on his face to honor him after he died in a road accident in 2014 — pushing Trippie to work harder on his music. He grew up being raised by his single-parent mother (his father was incarcerated since Trippie’s birth).Life’s A Trip continues to share Trippie’s eccentrically-wild world as seen through Trippie’s eyes. He finds influences from Gorillaz, Erykah Badu, Drake, Marilyn Manson, Tupac, Nirvana, and Lil Wayne(among others).
