LOLA YOUNG

Lola Young, the 18-year-old South London artist recently hailed as “a rising star” by MTV UK, has signed with Capitol Records in the U.S. Today, she shared the official music video for “3rd of Jan,” a track from her debut EP, Intro. Directed by Balan Evans, the intimate clip captures Young alone in her dressing room, singing and dancing along to the track with abandon. View “3rd of Jan” HERE.

A song about past love, future love and love that maybe isn’t meant to be, “3rd of Jan” was written by Young and produced by Two Inch Punch (Rex Orange County, Kali Uchis, Sam Smith).

Young explains, “I wrote this song the day before my birthday. It is a song about many things all in one, and about being ‘too much for anyone.’ I think this video is a raw, honest interpretation of how I act and how I am before I get ready to perform.”

Available HERE, the seven-track Intro also includes “6 Feet Under” and “Blind Love.” An atmospheric, piano-driven song about pulling oneself out of depression, “6 Feet Under” was penned by Young and co-produced by Al Shux (Lana Del Rey, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z). In its first week of release, the track received more than 100,000 Spotify plays, including UK & US New Music Friday placement. Streams now top 450,000. British GQ hailed “6 Feet Under” as a “sultry pop banger” and Clash Magazine praised it as “touching [and] honest.” Young earned early support from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac and will perform at Mac’s AMP London 2020 in March.Drawing on a unique gift for writing songs that encapsulate and explore the human condition, Young turns extremely personal emotions into songs that resonate with universal truths. She began writing music at age 11. She won the 2015 Open Mic competition in the UK, beating over 9,000 acts with the original song “Never Enough.” Young is a recent graduate of the Brit School, whose alumni include Amy Winehouse, Adele, Freya Ridings, FKA Twigs, Jade Bird, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Loyle Carner and Rex Orange County.

Oh Wonder, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, 360 MAGAZINE, Olga De La Iglesia

Oh Wonder – Happy

Oh Wonder welcomes you warmly into 2020 with their brand new single “Happy” out today—listen HERE! The new track arrives just weeks before the band’s fast-approaching third album, No One Else Can Wear Your Crown, is released on February 7th. The duo has also unveiled international dates for the “Wear Your Crown Tour,” which is on sale now at www.ohwondermusic.com. See a full list of dates below.

“Happy” is the fourth glimpse at what is to come from Oh Wonder’s highly anticipated third album, and once again finds the band putting modern, millennial love under the microscope. Inspired by the moment you realize you are able to wish your ex well with their new love, and actually mean it, “Happy” was in fact written by the band about Anthony’s ex-girlfriend; an irony that isn’t lost on the band who sing the track together, as a couple.

No One Else Can Wear Your Crown was written and self-produced in Oh Wonder’s own home studio, before being co-mixed with Cenzo Townshend (Bat For Lashes, Christine & The Queens, Jungle). In its 10-track entirety, it’s a record that explores a host of different emotions and experiences—some forged on the road on their last world tour, which included 300,000 world-wide tickets sold, and others from taking a break and reflecting on all that they’ve accomplished as a band so far, which includes a Top 10 album, a billion streams worldwide and global sold out tours.

It’s therefore unsurprising that No One Else Can Wear Your Crown has an overriding message of self-acceptance, empowerment and joy. It’s there in their brand new single “Happy,” as much as it’s in the Carpe Diem chorus of first single “Hallelujah”—a song of defiance that Josephine and Anthony wrote for anyone that has ever been told they can’t do something.

Ultimately, it’s difficult not to leave No One Else Can Wear Your Crown feeling uplifted and entirely convinced of the power of Oh Wonder. Recharged and ready for the next chapter, Oh Wonder appears more able than ever to just make it work: whether navigating the big questions of how to live and work with your partner down to the everyday drama of what happens to your dog now you have to go back on tour. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown is a candid, restorative set that offers a welcome antidote to our turbulent times, from a band firmly writing their own bright future. Ask, believe, receive.

He capped off the 2019 with another #1 song at urban with “Baby” by himself and DaBaby. Earlier this year Baby’s solo song “Close Friends” also hit yet another #1, showing his clear dominance throughout year.

The Mayfair

Music, sports, television and fashion stars rang in the new decade in Las Vegas with a night of dancing and dining at the grand opening of Bellagio Resort & Casino’s glamourous new supper club, The Mayfair. Leona LewisNina Dobrev, Tanner Novlan and Kayla Ewell, Candice and Joe King, Shaun White and Daniel Bamdad were amongst the revelers. On Friday, Lady Gaga brought 100 of her dancers and friends to The Mayfair for an early New Year’s celebration before the restaurant opened to the public.

Filled with live performances and surprise acts, The Mayfair Supper Club overlooks the Bellagio Fountains and evolves from a swinging prohibition-era jazz club to a late-night dance party that modernizes the Roaring ‘20s for the 2020s.

British singer-songwriter and “X-Factor” star Leona Lewis headed to Vegas to support new hubby Dennis Jauch, who is co-founder of No Ceilings Entertainment, the production powerhouse that produced The Mayfair’s incredible entertainment experience. The duo, who tied the knot in Italy this summer, met in 2010 when Jauch was a dancer on her tour.  Throughout the night, Lewis was glued to performances by the dancers, singers and musicians – many of whom she saw during the casting process – snapping pictures and videos and congratulating Jauch.

“Vampire Diaries” cast Nina Dobrev, Tanner Novlan and wife Kayla Ewell, and Candice (Accola) King reunited at the bash celebrating New Year’s Eve at a Fountain-side table, dining and dancing into the early morning. Olympic champion and snowboarding legend Shaun White, and Accola’s husband and The Fray’s guitarist Joe King, also joined the party. At midnight, the Novlans rang in 2020 with a sweet kiss on The Mayfair’s dance floor.

Lewis, Dobrev, Ewell and King complimented each other’s stunning NYE attire and joined together for celebratory photos, followed by Lewis and Dobrev snapping selfies together.

German model Daniel Bamdad was pulled on stage, blindfolded and fed cream pie as singers and dancers teased him during one of The Mayfair’s boundary-breaking performances that concluded with a hilarious bait and switch that had Bamdad – and guests throughout the restaurant – roaring.

The Mayfair Supper Club is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. For more information, please visit The Mayfair Supper Club’s website.
