NÜR SAN FRANCISCO

“The light between the heavens and the earth.”

After witnessing product discoloration and encountering rashes caused by allergies, Afghan-American Nilo established NÜR.

Thanks to the PVD, NÜR has been able to produce without many issues. At an affordable price point, this ethical, sustainable fine jewelry can stand the test of time.  Hypoallergenic yet rustproof ornaments pair well with lesser eco-friendly options to create a stylish look.

After putting a necklace to its limits: long baths, extended steam room sessions coupled with prolonged wearing, the 18k plating did not permit oxidation. In addition, even as a wild sleeper, the global construction prevented kinks.

Upon delivery, if an item does not properly fit or was damaged while being shipped, the customer has a two-week replacement window. Moreover, all products are free of metal allergens (nickel, copper and zinc) and are plated onto a surgical grade of stainless steel. Lastly, the polishing adds a protective layer, intensifying its durability; and thus, increasing its longevity.

Scotland’s victory over UAE

Scotland’s winning record in CWC League 2 was continued with a dominant win at Aberdeen against the UAE, with a century stand between Calum MacLeod and Matthew Cross ensuring a third Scotland triumph in their final domestic trilateral sequence. Mark Watt grabbed 5 for 33 as the visitors fell 86 runs short in the competition’s 100th ODI. With nine matches remaining, Scotland has closed the gap with Oman at the top of the standings to just four points.

Cricket is a sport that has long been widely enjoyed both in the UK and other countries like India, the UAE, and New Zealand. Another exciting way of fun is betting on different athletes or teams. Nowadays, you can do it online, just find the right bookmaking company.  Go to https://bookmaker-ratings.in/tip/sport-types/cricket-tips/ to get some tips on online cricket betting.

Both openers fell easily after being sent in to bat, with Craig Wallace’s second effort to scoop Kashif Daud surrendering a top edge to the keeper and Kyle Coetzer blasted by Junaid Siddique the following over. Scotland passed fifty in the 13th over, thanks to MacLeod and Micahel Jones, but Jones dropped a reverse delivery to Ahmed Raza, and the UAE looked in command at 54/3.

They were made to pay for wasted opportunities, though, as Macleod reached his half-century in the 28th over, flicking Zahoor Khan to deep fine leg for one before Vritya Aravind, who had previously missed a stumping, lost a gritty bottom edge off Zahoor. After adding 113 for the fourth wicket, MacLeod was caught off Basil Hameed for 77. Despite losing wickets around him, Cross persisted, finding assistance in number eight Mark Watt to carry Scotland to 252/7 before getting struck for 85 by Rohan Mustafa in the penultimate over.

A goal of 255 appeared to be easily achievable, but while everyone of the Emirati top order batted, none advanced past 25 save Aravind, whose battling fifty from number four kept the Emirates in the game even as Watt denied him of partners. With his team still in the hunt at 145/6, the youthful keeper-bat brought up his half-century by running Sharif down to deep third in the 35th, but he became Watt’s fourth target in the next, caught by MacLeod for precisely fifty. Watt finished his five-wicket haul with a return catch to remove skipper Ahmed Raza as the UAE were comprehensively beaten for 168 with nine overs left.

With Oman having already completed all of their matches, Scotland appears to be on track to surpass them and earn the League 2 championship, albeit with the scrapping of the CWC Super League, the possibility of promotion has vanished. They are almost certain to finish in the top three and therefore advance to the World Cup Qualifier. The setback undermines the UAE’s position against third-placed competitors Namibia and Nepal, including the United States, whom they will meet again tomorrow.

Six Great Beach Clubs in Koh Phangan To Check Out in 2022

Thailand is well-known for its stunning beaches, and Koh Phangan is no exception. This small island in the Gulf of Thailand is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country and is one of the most popular island-hopping destinations. There are a few different ways to get to Koh Phangan, including a ferry from Koh Samui, an island nearby. With a wide range of beach clubs, Koh Phangan is the perfect place to spend a day or two in the sun.

Bars are formed on beaches and stocked with beer, but not everyone is a classic. Koh Phangan has many beach bars filled with good music, where you can watch the hissing waves while the water rinses your feet, watch the sunset, or even have a beach party under the moon. It becomes the final destination for travelers, especially those that love exploring the waters. People repeatedly visit the island because of the disco nightlife and amazing beach clubs that function 24/7 a week and 365 days a year. These places are a must-visit if you intend to enjoy your stay on the island.

However, not every bar can make it to the six must-visit beach clubs in Koh Phangan. We have gathered the chic and the elite, serving thirst-quenching beer, bamboo night parties, and sitting spots made of straw. These places have a way of calling you back if you’ve previously visited there.

1. Merkaba Beach Club

Merkaba Beach Club is an old but renowned club on the island. It is a sunset beach located and designed with palm trees in an isolated private place below the Haad Rin hills. The name has three sections, each with a meaning related to sacred geometry meaningful in ancient Egypt–Mer is for rotating light, Ka for spirit, and Ba for the body. The bar is known for its music, cheap drinks, cool décor, good sound system, and magical vibe. The club has a standard DJ with the desire to play trending songs.

2. Infinity Beach Club

Infinity Beach Club is at the forefront of many clubs in the area. You can easily see the club along the beachfront, where most vacationers hang out at night. The club has two restaurants, a large outdoor swimming pool, a functioning bar with continental drinks, and a rooftop terrace for dancers and chillers. People that get bored in their rooms take their activities to the poolside to relax and socialize with other vacationers. The place gets crowded between 5 pm and 6 pm, so it is better to be there before this time to get a convenient spot to watch the whole night’s activities. The club does not close until dawn, with a local DJ ready to blow your mind from sunset to 1 am.

3. By The Sea & Bar

As the name implies, the Sea and Bar have high tides close to the sea. You can hear the sound of crashing waves and open air down. The bar serves world-class cocktails, delicious coconut smoothies, and other locally made drinks. You can get lunch and dinner at the beachfront dining area. They do the best Thai-style food with flavors and spices, surrounded by incredible views. Seafood like lobsters is prepared phenomenally and highly recommended for evening relaxation. The dinner serves Thai and Italian dishes, drinks, and music all night. The bar is ready to party till daybreak.

4. Coco Locco Beach Bar

The Coco Loco Beach bar is on the island’s sand beach of Haad Yao. There are swimming pools, cheap lounges, beachfront dining places, and open-air lounges. Dance to the good high-quality music with restaurants serving Tapas, western and Thai food. Enjoy chilled grade drinks, beer, bottle drinks, cocktails, wine, and tropical fruits by the bar. You can’t visit Koh Phangan without seeing the Coco Locco beach bar. The bar is for family gatherings, birthday celebrations, welcome parties, and sometimes beach weddings.

5. Sunset Beach Bar

The location is at the city’s center, walkable to many neighborhoods like Thong Sala pier, Wat Plai Laem, and Bangrak beach. The evening atmosphere is warm, and the restaurant serves delicious hot meals. In addition, the resort has sports and outdoor poolside activities. Enjoy the nightlife with fantastic music, free drinks, and dancing spots. The restaurant and nightclub are connected, making the venue feel more spacious.

6. Ku Club

The Ku Club is a trendy, fun place in Koh Phangan. The bar has an open dance floor with a local DJ that plays international trending tracks from an echoing sound system. The club may be small but has an exceptional vibe, food, ping-pong tables, and drinks. In addition, the activities are affordable, making it a favorite spot for many vacationers in Koh Phangan.

How To Slow Down a Fast-Paced Way of Life

Do you feel like you’re always running and never slowing down? Is your life a perpetual whirlwind of activity that leaves you with no time to catch a breath? This is how many Americans are living today in the quest to improve they and their families’ standard of living. Experts have termed this endless quest for faster acquisition of money, power or career progress a speed addiction.

While you may be able to reward yourself with the finer things in life thanks to your relentless grind, living this fast-paced lifestyle takes a toll over the years. People from school-going kids to adults heading to retirement are dealing with mental health issues emanating from stress. The anxiety and depression they suffer also translate into obesity, hypertension and other life-threatening illnesses.

When To Slow Down

So, how do you tell if you’re on this slippery slope to self-destruction? Do you find yourself unable to focus on one task, constantly distracted by alerts of incoming messages on your phone? Or are you constantly scrolling through your social media timelines looking for an interesting post or clever comment?

If you take stock, you will realize that this zombie-like reliance on your smartphone has not only diminished you attention span but it has also eroded your creativity. Instead of taking the time to think up solutions by yourself, you will look for a quick fix on Google or from the people you follow on Twitter.

You may think that quickly jumping from one task to another or multitasking is enhancing your productivity. The reality is that you will accomplish much more if you concentrate on one task and complete it before moving to the next. Trying to mind many irons in the fire will decrease your efficiency and compromise the quality of your output.

It will also get you worked up physically and emotionally. This is why you may find yourself prone to mood swings and stress. Depression and anxiety will creep into your mind if you’re constantly thinking about the glamorous images you see on Instagram and how plain your life seems in comparison.

Your relationships with your family and friends may suffer as a result of your speed addiction. Sending a quick text or pushing a ‘like’ button is much more convenient than making a phone call or taking the time to see someone face to face.

Just the Right Speed

So how do you recalibrate your life to avoid the burnout, stress and mental health disorders that speed addiction brings? How can you snap out of that zombie-like existence and reignite your creativity? Here are some ideas.

Work vs Personal

Strive to create a healthy work-life balance. Work-time is work-time, family time is family time and me-time should remain me-time. Allocate adequate time for each and maintain clear boundaries between them. Putting in more hours in the office does not mean you’re being more productive. But it does mean you’re devoting less of yourself to other important aspects of your wellbeing.

Peer Pressure

One of the most powerful drivers pushing you to live a fast life is peer pressure. Though this phenomenon is commonly associated with teens, it applies to adults too. If you find yourself in a group that is constantly trying to outdo each other, you may need to think about changing your friends.

Unsubscribe from Influences

In the same vein, you need to unfollow social media handles that tempt you to live a fast life, or take a break from your phone altogether. You can fill your spare time with activities that help you relax while releasing your creative juices. Take a walk in the park or find a quiet place to read a book.

Health First

Prioritize your health over the exigencies of today’s fast life. Instead of putting in extra hours at work, or trying to finish an assignment at home, get some rest and attack the task with a fresh mind the following day. Giving your eyes a break from the glare from your screen might reduce your need for premium progressive lenses.

Ensure you take time every once in a while to get away from familiar surroundings to revitalize your body and reset your mind. Try to resist the temptation to take your laptop with you or check your work emails.

Hit the Pause Button

If you feel your life is moving too fast and that you’re not getting the most out of it, you need to hit the pause button. Ask yourself if the price you’re paying to ‘get ahead’ is really worth it. Think about the things that matter to you and your family’s well-being and prioritize accordingly.

Three BIPOC designers will showcase their latest collections in the show:

Leica and BAPE camera via 360 MAGAZINE

Leica × BAPE

Leica, “A BATHING APE” and Stash have collaborated on a limited-edition camera, merging industry-leading technology with a chic, urban sensibility. The Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE®︎ X STASH” consists of a black-finish compact camera sold exclusively through Leica, and a silver-finish version available exclusively through pioneering streetwear brand, A BATHING APE®︎. Both special editions feature the signature ABC CAMO look of BAPE® covering the camera body, the brand’s APE HEAD insignia, as well as the distinctive wild style tag of American graffiti artist, STASH. The result is a camera that integrates the power of street photography with icons of streetwear and street art.

The streetwear label BAPE® (A BATHING APE®︎) encapsulates the youthful spirit of an entire generation, bringing Tokyo’s urban street style to the world with its contemporary designs. From the Asian metropolis, we turn our attention to New York, where pioneering street-art legend STASH (aka Josh Franklin) paved the way for a new genre of graffiti by moving his creations from the anonymity of subway tunnels into the public eye. Finally, we turn to Wetzlar: the German city that has become almost synonymous with the art of optical engineering and camera design. This special-edition camera combines the creative energies of Tokyo and New York. Photography has always been used to document both street art and street fashion – now the Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE®︎ X STASH” is a tangible manifestation of this connective link.

“When I started doing graffiti in the early 1980s, the term ‘street art’ didn’t exist. It was only later, when we emerged from the tunnels and train stations, that we became much more visible. Documenting my art through photography has always been part of my creativity. With the advent of digital cameras, I got my first Leica,” STASH recalls, who recognizes many parallels between the three art forms. “They are visual, based on color, form and expressive freedom. I think they are strongly youth-driven, and there is so much creativity between them that one feeds into the other to help complete the story.”

When designing the limited special edition of the Leica D-Lux 7, the Brooklyn-based artist incorporated both the famously graphic-heavy style of the BAPE® label, and his own distinctive visual approach.

The Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE®︎ X STASH” offers the same technical specifications as the serial production model, including a Micro Four Thirds sensor, fast 24–75mm (35mm camera equivalent) zoom lens with optical image stabilization, and an aperture range of f/1.7–2.8 to deliver outstanding images, anytime, anyplace. For the effective resolution of 17 megapixels, the lens utilizes a central portion of the sensor (whose total resolution is over 21 million pixels), resulting in an even higher image quality and a sensor that delivers 4K 30fps and full-HD 60fps videos. The black-finish Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE®︎ X STASH” retails for $1,895, and comes with an additional carrying strap, a specially designed camera pouch, and an auto lens cap that opens and closes as the lens retracts and extends.

To mark the launch of the limited-edition Leica D-Lux 7, a selection of photographs by STASH will be presented in a special exhibition at Leica Store Los Angeles.

A BATHING APE®︎

Situated in the heart of Tokyo, one of the leading fashion hubs of the world, Nowhere Co., Ltd. strives to introduce Japanese fashion culture to the world. Since the brand’s establishment in 1993, it has remained as a symbol of street fashion for more than 28 years. Thus far, it has produced iconic design items, original patterns, and characters such as “APE HEAD”, “BAPE® CAMO”, “BAPE STA™”, “SHARK HOODIE” and “BABY MILO®” etc. It has now expanded into Mens, Ladies and Kids line and is carried throughout stores in Japan, US, UK, France, China and various Asian countries. It has also created successful collaborations with established international brands and reputable artists. These collaborations are recognized as being genreless and flexible, not limited to fashion and apparel categories only.

STASH

One of the pioneers of New York’s graffiti scene, STASH (Josh Franklin) is firmly established as an innovator and influencer in the world of urban design. His vision of integrating graphic graffiti elements and fonts into commercial product designs captured the attention of a broad audience and helped graffiti culture rise from the shadows of subway tunnels into the light of public acceptance. His hidden (‘stashed away’) messages and iconic signature have become a brand in their own right, immortalized in high-profile collaborations with major brands in the streetwear cosmos. In his search for new forms of expression, the photography enthusiast has found a perfect match in Leica: the collaboration is another milestone for the street artist to manifest his concept of capturing the fleeting moment.

Adele is featured on the cover of Elle Canada announced by Vaughn lowery of 360 MAGAZINE

ADELE × ELLE

KO Média is excited to unveil the September issue of ELLE Canada, featuring British singer-songwriter Adele. The multi-Grammy-award-winning star finally opens up about the difficult decision to cancel her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. “The first couple of months were really, really hard,” she says. The star dives into how she went into hiding after the dramatic cancellation announcement on Instagram, her reasons for doing so and how the last-minute decision actually “made [her] confidence in [herself] grow because it was a very brave thing to do.” During the intimate interview at her home in July, only weeks out from her half-decade-long stage break, Adele spoke about the incredible arrangement she and her former partner have when it comes to co-parenting their son and even gushed about being madly in love—and joked about being unmarried (for now)—with her new man, sports agent Rich Paul. But it wasn’t all lighthearted. The singer went into detail about enduring the lowest points of her career, feeling lonely, experiencing anxiety attacks and finding herself again through fitness and kickboxing. Now Adele is on her way back to Las Vegas, and the response has been better than she could have imagined.

With the strongest of the summer season’s rays behind us, it’s time to stock up on hydrating foundations and skin-perfecting serums to help restore our skin after all the sand and sun we indulged in. For readers trying to hold on to the warmth for as long as possible, we take a look at Barcelona’s hottest spots, highlighting where to stay, what to eat and where the best shopping is in the Catalan city. And nothing says endless summer like the fresh, romantic scent of roses, which are the highlight of Lancôme’s French estate and its timeless perfume line.

Looking ahead, our biggest trend reports have the scoop on what you’ll want to wear and how you’ll want to style your hair and do your makeup for the fall season. And with the inevitable return (at least in part) to the office, the baggy, flowy, oversized power suit—inspired by the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Martin Margiela and Yohji Yamamoto—has made its way from the runways into our closets. Work attire has finally shifted from tight and structured-tight to loose and comfortable—think Zendaya in Valentino’s latest ad campaign. Just add this season’s neon liner, bold lips and big accessories, and “What should I wear to work?” will seldom be a question in the morning. However, heading back to the office doesn’t come without a shift in work-life balance. Val Desjardins, our new health and wellness contributor, explains her holistic approach to adopting new habits and pursuing daily pleasure, making the transition to a new normal a breeze.

This issue also focuses on female empowerment. We spoke to multi-Juno-winning R&B artist Savannah Ré about her new album as well as bestselling author Lisa Taddeo about how she helps readers grapple with feelings of loneliness and grief. We also have advice for Canadian women on how to ask for a raise or promotion—and get it too—and we chatted with actor Myha’la Herrold about feeling bold, confident and empowered in her career. But empowerment isn’t only career-focused; non-binary and transgender people are starting to feel more empowered through their hair. New salons are ditching the old-school binary haircuts and opting for more inclusive services, allowing everyone to express themselves through their hair.

On the fashion front, up-and-coming South African designer Lukhanyo Mdingi is creating a legacy through his designs and using the skills of local people to create his brand’s blueprint. And we take a closer, more critical look at the well-intentioned trend of donating clothing. What we discovered is that a large majority of these pieces end up in the oceans, on beaches and in landfills in other countries, like Ghana. This piece makes us rethink the Instagram trend of having a different outfit for every post, the ethics of fast-fashion companies like Shein and how we can reduce our carbon footprint when it comes to our closets.
