HiPost + NFIF + NYFW

HiPost, an eclectic collection, offers a full service barber/retail space that creates custom items that come with a lifetime warranty. Nestled within Alphabet City since the early 90s, HiPost has been boasting about some of their iconic products. And last night on the Lower East Side, we got a glimpse of some of their pieces. Although the prices may vary, the label has a variety of pieces that can be worn for both work and play.

NYC still has trend breakers with vision, and it’s great to see that. After all, designer Kelly Glusovich is an upcycling architect. His transparency and contributions to city culture will never go unnoticed.

The capsule was visually appealing, energetic, and reminiscent of the most popular British sportswear. HiPosts’ future is bright as they resurrect retail with their conceptual brick + click methodology.

Nothing but respect goes out to D’Angelo Thompson (DT Beauty) and Javier Pedroza (Under One Roof Productions) for the much needed clean air they breathe into marginalized artisans. NFIF is a vital element for NYFW.

Yant Studio deserves special thanks on behalf of 360®, official media sponsor, for providing guests with complimentary tattoos, emphasizing the ‘e’ in epic for the evening.

And a massive ‘gracias’ goes out to Esther Choi as well as Ms. Yoo‘s DJ, bartenders, and FOH for curating such a captivating list of handcrafted cocktails.

Lastly, this marks the celebration of the newly launched BRIGADE MANAGEMENT, a branding and concierge agency for emerging entities.

DRACULA: BLOOD HUNT

THE LORD OF VAMPIRES TAKES THE DAUGHTER OF BLADE UNDER HIS WING IN DRACULA: BLOOD HUNT!

This May, Dracula teams up with Bloodline in a new BLOOD HUNT tie-in series from Danny Lore and Vincenzo Carratù.

This May, as the skies of the Marvel Universe go dark and the children of the night rise to drown the Earth in blood, the most legendary vampire in history will execute a bold plan of his own! Dracula’s pivotal role in BLOOD HUNT will play out in both Jed MacKay and Pepe Larraz’s main series and DRACULA: BLOOD HUNT, a special three-issue tie-in series by writer Danny Lore (Bloodline: Daughter of Blade) and artist Vincenzo Carratù (Dead X-Men). DRACULA: BLOOD HUNT will see the lord of vampires team up with none other than the daughter of his greatest nemesis—Bloodline, the daughter of Blade!

Following her hit limited series last year, and her recent appearances in Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Brielle Brooks takes center stage as her unique family legacy makes her a key player in the upcoming crossover event. Vampires are stronger than ever before, and this burgeoning slayer’s fate has always been written in blood. Now, co-creator Danny Lore returns to bring Brielle to her ultimate destiny—at the hands of Dracula!

ALL WILL BOW TO THE LORD OF VAMPIRES! Blade is Dracula’s ultimate nemesis: the most formidable vampire hunter in the world. Blade is Brielle Brooks’ father: the man who’s training her to follow in his footsteps. During BLOOD HUNT, when day is night and all is not as it appears, these enemies may find their interests – however briefly – aligned…for the fate of humanity?!

“One of the most interesting things about Dracula, for me, is that he doesn’t run on mortal time, and because of that, his reasoning tends toward shadowy and full of schemes,” Lore explained. “Right now, his goal is to keep Brielle safe – but what does it mean to protect the kid of the number-one thorn in your side? And why?”

“I’m obviously very excited to be part of this crossover which is spearheaded by Pepe Larraz, one of the most important artists of our entire generation,” Carratù shared. “I’m very grateful to my editors for giving me the chance to be a part of this. I love drawing monsters, and Dracula is the prince of all monsters. It’s always fun to be able to draw a battle between vampires because they allow you to do things that cannot be done with normal anatomies and Dracula is the icing on the cake!”

“In the early stages of a  Marvel character’s history, one of the most important moments is when their world broadens to include the rest of their universe,” Lore added. “In her origin, we brought the world of magic and the supernatural to Brielle, and I’m overjoyed to be a part of bringing HER to the world of capes and super heroes.”

Who will bite it? Sink your teeth into Rod Reis’ DRACULA: BLOOD HUNT #1 cover and stay tuned tomorrow and all week long for more BLOOD HUNT tie-in announcements! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

Shure AONIC 50 Gen 2 Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones

One of the most stunning over the ear products on the market–AONIC 50 Gen 2. It’s literally the all black everything leather headband. Quick charging is possible with Shure’s Bluetooth 5 technology. The sound is adaptable and comparable to studio-grade. Many compare them to AKG and BOSE. The Shure+ app has custom presets that allow you to shape your EQ, providing you with an immersive surround system. The quality of the speaking and microphone makes your voice look like it’s being massaged by your tonsils, and it’s the best way to destroy Apple AirPods Max and Beats Studio Pro. ABOUT LOLA BROOKE

Few have been able to stay true to the roots that is Brooklyn, New York while also possessing the necessary charisma and talent to transcend its world-renowned identity. However, Lola Brooke has shown herself to be just that, while also making a stand-out case as one of the new heavyweights in a city that might just boast the best legacy in all of Hip-Hop. Though short in stature, her lyrical presence and personality cast a skyscraper-sized shadow over the game. With quotable lyrics and unforgettable bars, she delivers street-influenced songs with an unwavering confidence and an unpredictable cadence that evokes an essence reminiscent of the golden age of Hip Hop as she leans into the future of music with genre-busting fire.

Lola’s love for rap started at an early age. Inspired by artists such as Meek Mill, Lil Wayne, and Foxy Brown, she began writing music as early as eight years old. Lola dropped her first music video to a freestyle titled “2017 Flow” and instantly started to build a buzz in the city. She continued to release numerous songs, each one displaying her incredible rapping skills and starlike persona; but it was her song “Don’t Play With It” that really started to grab people’s attention. Soon after, she started to perform at events such as Rolling Loud NYC, Break The Internet Fest, and HOT97’s “Who’s Up Next” showcase as well as a halftime performance for her beloved hometown team the Brooklyn Nets. She closed out the 2022 year pulling up to Future’s sold-out show at Barclays Center in her hometown of Brooklyn, NY eliciting massive roars from the crowd as soon as she hit the stage. During the first half of 2023, Lola embarked on her first nationwide tour with A Boogie wit da Hoodie, signaling her rising super-stardom status felt outside the East Coast. Later that year, she embarked on her first international touring stint, taking center stage on festival stages at WOO HAH! X ROLLING LOUD Festival in Rotterdam, Rolling Loud Portugal, Rolling Loud Germany, Splash Festival in Germany, Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park, London, Openair Festival in Frauenfeld Switzerland, and brought the efforts back to the states with acclaimed performance at Hot 97 Summer Jam, Rolling Loud Miami and Broccoli Festival.

She continues to garner and mesmerize new fans every day with her dominant flow and powerful rhymes. With an attitude that embodies the unbridled energy that is Brooklyn, it’s no surprise that Lola continues to assert herself as New York’s next hometown hero. And with a growing body of work that has already tallied streams and views in the millions, the 4’9″ Lola Brooke may also be music’s NEXT BIG THING.

SEA LIFE NJ

While countless football experts are weighing in from land, SEA LIFE New Jersey is plunging into their own pick for the big game! SEA LIFE New Jersey is having one of their smartest sea creatures make its own football prediction!

Their football-predicting spider crab has been making his picks all season for the Jets and Giants games on SEA LIFE’s Instagram page. He has an impressive 67% success rate.

The Aquarists at SEA LIFE continue to put his football expertise to the test by placing the teams’ helmets into his exhibit ahead of the big game. Without any hesitation, he quickly decided that the Kansas City Chiefs would be the winner for Sunday’s game, by making his way over to their helmet.

While many things are on the line during the big game on Sunday, now there is one more thing to add to the list – the name of the crab. The crustacean will either be named Brock, after Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers or Patrick after Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, from the winning quarterback.

Five-time JUNO Award nominee TALK – whose debut single “Run Away to Mars” soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart in 2023 – launches his first-ever North American headline tour tonight at El Club in Detroit. Eccentric, flashy, and colorful, TALK has already established himself as a powerhouse on stage, touring with such artists as Imagine Dragons, Shania Twain, The Lumineers and Young The Giant.

The shows promise to be epic as TALK brings his debut album, Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees, to life. The 35-date run includes shows at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (February 22) and New York City’s Irving Plaza (March 8). Zinadelphia will support. Numerous dates have sold out, prompting TALK to add more shows. Tickets are available HERE. See below for full itinerary.

TALK has created “I’m One of the Rest,” to score CBS’ trailer promoting the debut of the Original series “Tracker,” which stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. The new series will premiere on Sunday, February 11, after SUPER BOWL LVIII, on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+. The trailer featuring “I’m One of the Rest” aired during CBS’ GRAMMY Awards telecast and will run again during the Big Game broadcast. View trailer HERE.

“I had the pleasure of working alongside the CBS “Tracker” team to bring this song to life,” says TALK. “It was an extremely enjoyable collaboration and I’m honored it’s playing such a big role in launching the show. They gave me pieces of the story to go on and I used those moments and feelings they expressed to craft this song as one of my own.”

TALK is nominated for five JUNO Awards, making him one of three artists with the most nominations. Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees is nominated for Album of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year while “A Little Bit Happy” is up for Single of the Year. TALK, who will perform at the March 24 ceremony, also received nods for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.

“History,” another track from Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees, has attracted the attention of Elton John, who recently played the song on his Apple Music show, “Rocket Hour.” TALK has played festivals around the world including Lollapalooza (Chicago and Berlin), RADAR Switzerland, Boston Calling, Festival d’été de Québec, Calgary Stampede and more. Rolling Stone caught up with him during festival season. Check out the Q&A HERE.

Released by Capitol Records and available HERE, Lord of the Flies & Birds & Bees also includes the hit single “Run Away to Mars.” The hard-hitting collection shoots for the stars—and stadiums—with inspiration from Meatloaf, Broadway and ‘80s/’90s rock. While the album navigates a flood of emotions—both good and bad—it ultimately sees hope prevail.

“Thematically, the album is about love and friendship being able to survive anything. It’s never too late to lift someone up,” explains TALK.
