AGT – SEASON 18

America’s Got Talent,” summer’s most-watched show for the 18th consecutive year, returns to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for six weeks of live shows beginning Tuesday, Aug. 22 (8-10 p.m. ET/PT) on NBC. Results show will air Wednesday nights (8-9 p.m. ET/PT).

Over the course of five qualifying rounds, 55 acts will perform live for “America’s Got Talent” judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and host Terry Crews.

The 55 acts moving on from the auditions to the live shows include an impressive variety of singers, dancers, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists and more, all vying to win America’s hearts, a $1 million prize and a headlining spot in “America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live” at Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Each week, the two acts that receive the most votes from the viewers will move directly into the finale.  The top 10 finalists will be joined by an 11th act that is voted into the finale via an Instant Save, chosen by the viewers on Wednesday, Sept. 20.  In the running for this final Instant Save spot will be four previously eliminated Live Show acts, each selected by one of the judges.  

Throughout the live shows, viewers of “America’s Got Talent” will have a chance to vote for their favorite act at NBC.com/AGTVote and via the “AGT” App (available through Google Play and on the App Store).

DJ KHALED HOSTS GOLF CLASSIC

DJ Khaled hosted the 2023 WE THE BEST FOUNDATION X JORDAN BRAND GOLF CLASSIC at the MIAMI BEACH GOLF CLUB. The stars in attendance to golf, spectate and support included Sean “Diddy” Combs, who donated $150,000 at the event from the Sean Combs Foundation, as well as Serena Williams, Odell Beckham Jr, Quavo, Timbaland, Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Bubba Watson, Bubba Wallace, Cedric the Entertainer, Jalen Rose, The Dream, Mina Harigae, Shannon Sharpe, Cris Carter, Terrell Owens, Pat Perez, Marcus Jordan, Jeffrey Jordan, Hassan Whiteside, and more. At the beginning of the event, Khaled and event partner Snipes presented a check for $20,000 in donation to Fore Life, a non-profit that utilizes the game of golf and its character building skills to empower vulnerable youth to help them survive and succeed, as well as a $10,000 check to Circle of Brotherhood, a Miami organization of primarily Black men from all walks of life dedicated to community service, economic development, crime prevention, conflict resolution and mediation, educational services, and youth mentorship. Participating golfers hit the fairway at 9:30am with a shotgun tee-off, playing scramble style, until the tournament concluded with an awards ceremony which featured an exclusive dj set by Swizz Beatz.

Khaled kicked off the celebrations on Wednesday evening with a We the Best Foundation x Jordan Brand celebratory cocktail party and dinner with Golf Classic guests at SWAN in Miami. The evening featured a silent auction in which guests could bid on a plethora of one-of-a-kind collectors items such as a Michael Jordan signed basketball, an Earl Campbell signed jersey, a Cincoro Founder’s Series tequila bottle, a helmet signed by Tom Brady, a 2022 Astros World Series team signed baseball, a Steph Curry signed print and jersey, and an opportunity to play a round of golf with Khaled himself, amongst other items.

Earlier this summer, Khaled graced the June 2023 cover of Golf Digest with the magazine touting “Khaled’s golf wisdom…pours from him like a sermon at every opportunity.” This same energy was in full effect at his first-ever celebrity golf tournament as he channeled his love for the sport towards giving back to the community.

On July 10th, Sports Illustrated Presented The Golf Classic featuring LA Lakers’ Austin Reaves as special guest. This was the return of The Golf Classic for its 19th year, held at Angeles National course.

Sports Illustrated presented ‘The Golf Classic,’ a highly-anticipated VIP golf outing, held on Monday, July 10th at the esteemed Angeles National Golf Club. The Golf Classic, an annual event with a 19-year history as one of the longest-running lifestyle golf events in the country, announced an inaugural partnership with Sports Illustrated to expand the reach of the tournament through the storied media enterprise. The annual event combines networking, comradery and competitive golf through a scrimmage-style tournament that raises funds for UCLA Children’s Hospital.

Mezcla and Liquid Death were also offered to guests, along with Drip Hydration Protein shots and a  Hyperice massage area on-site wellness relief. OOKA showcased their revolutionary new doseable pod device.

Shock’d Golf balls and Golf Tournament Solutions’ Golf Cannon activated immersive challenges on the course. Geometry provided commemorative branded towels for players, Crep Protect kept golfers’ shoes looking crispy clean out on the course and Palm Golf Co made sure each of the players had a fresh new pair of golfing gloves. Goodr outfitted their signature golf sport designed sunglasses on the bright, sunny day. 

Beyond Meat once again kept tastes satisfied with an on-site food truck as well as the in-demand Yeastie Boys food truck, while Uncle Paulie’s served up their signature specialty cuisine favorites. Official hotel partner for the tournament this year was the L’ermitage Beverly Hills and The Golf Classic introduced an auto partnership with BMW.

Following Los Angeles, ENTER and Sports Illustrated will hit the road for a marquee golf event ahead of Big Game Weekend at TPC Summerlin. The second annual SI INVITATIONAL will be held on February 8th in Las Vegas, with more details to follow.

Lil Tony – 3AM

Tipped as an artist to watch in 2023, rising hip-hop star Lil Tony unveils a cinematic music video for his new single “3AM.” Watch HERE and listen HERE via Priority Records.

On the track, a harp sample wraps around skittering 808s as Lil Tony sets the scene, “3AM, I’m in the studio, damn near dozing off.” The 17-year-old Atlanta phenomenon weaves together tight bars punctuated by a wavy flow on the way to a declaration, “At the end of the day, I was born this way I ain’t got shit to prove.” The video finds him alone inside of a massive house. Grainy footage evokes intensely introverted emotion as he stares out the window. At the 24 Hours of Spa – one of the most anticipated racing events in the international motorsport season – today, Maserati unveiled to the world its latest track creation, the Maserati GT2

After the announcement of the shakedown in early March, which was followed by an intensive series of tests to tune up the car, the House of the Trident officially unveiled its new gem of technology and performance, developed to bring the Maserati brand back to GT competitions. It had previously carved its name there with the winning MC12, which completely dominated the track from 2005 to 2010.

The Maserati GT2 is an exceptional synthesis between Maserati’s past, present and future: it draws on the living legacy of the MC12; it expresses the best potential, in the racing version, of the MC20 super sports car – taking the already exceptional 463-kW/621-hp Nettuno V6 engine to the extreme, and is preparing to chart a new course in the future of the Trident, which is determined to write exciting new chapters in the history of motorsport.

Maserati has designed and built a racing car dedicated to private teams and gentleman drivers. A masterpiece of performance that combines history, innovation and sporting attitude, features that have always characterised the Trident’s track and road cars. Debuting in September, this sharp new series will be crafted by two Marvel masterminds: writer Al Ewing and artist Leonard Kirk. Known for taking some of Marvel’s greatest icons into fresh and unexpected directions in titles like Immortal Hulk and Loki: Agent of Asgard, Ewing now delivers that same treatment to the Avengers mythos by blending noir and super hero storytelling for suspenseful adventures unlike any in Avengers history. With acclaimed work in dynamic comic book titles like the pulpy X-Factor and the recent horror-fueled Sabretooth series, Kirk is the perfect artist to mix thrilling Avengers action with tense investigating and super powered sleuthing.
