Sofia Reyes and Danna Paola, two of the most popular popstars in the world right now, have joined forces to deliver an event song that will dominate this summer and point to the future of the genre. Marking the first time both artists have worked in the hyperpop medium, “tqum (te quiero un montón)” deals with feeling nostalgic about an ex and being honest with oneself about missing being with that person; “tqum” gives both Sofía and Danna the chance to express themselves in a unique way. With its avant-garde arrangement and execution, the singers deliver a song that will stay on top of your go-to playlist.

To accompany the new single, a video for “tqum” has been released. Directed by Mamo Vernet and produced by MITH Originals, the video sees the singers trapped in a hellish plane flight which makes them wreck havoc and have a great time. The video reflects the fun aspect of the song as well as the good times Sofía and Danna have together. The visual is a must watch and will be on loop in screens everywhere.

Sofía says about the collaboration. “When we’re on a plane or we spend too much time by ourselves, remember people, and land our thoughts. Sharing this song with Danna Paola is very powerful, obviously because we’re both Mexicans and friends, but also because the song is very much a pop song, and it’s important for both of us to make music that celebrates this kind of music.”

“tqum” will be included in Sofia’s forthcoming album due later in 2023. The full length will also include “Luna,” which sees the singer embrace nature and the power of feminine divinity in a heartfelt and celestial love song. “tqum” was written by Sofia, Danna, Karen Sotomayor, and Thom Bridges; it was produced by BridgesRolling Stone hailed the as-yet-untitled album as “the beginning of a new era […] after an excellent, cumbia-filled album, Mal De Amores.”

Reyes has become an international Latin music superstar. With nominations to prestigious awards like Latin GRAMMYs, Latin American Music Awards, MTV Europe Awards, Premios Juventud, and NRJ Music Awards, among many others, Reyes has demonstrated her talent and versatility as a Global pop icon. She has achieved more than 1 billion views on YouTube and more than 2 billion streams on Spotify worldwide with the numbers rising every day. Her hits like “1 2 3,” “RIP,” “Mal De Amores,” and “Marte” have earned platinum and gold status by the RIAA as well as critical praise by such outlets as Billboard and Rolling Stone. Thanks to the viral hit “1 2 3” on Tik Tok, Reyes became the Latin female artist with the most creations on the platform, with 8 million videos.

Chargeback Triangle

The Hidden Threat for Merchants

In 2022, the loss to consumers due to fraud ticked up to $8.8 billion, an increase of 44% from 2021.

Chargebacks are a powerful tool for safeguarding consumers against credit card fraud, erroneous charges, or even poor-quality products and services. In chargeback disputes, the cardholder’s bank usually backs them up and refunds the charge amount from the merchant’s bank.

Banks and credit card companies have made it exceptionally simple for customers to dispute a charge, often to the point where it is quicker for them to contact their bank rather than the merchant. It has been observed that, following a chargeback, the purchasing behavior of consumers toward a merchant goes down by as much as 62%. However, it is important to note that more than 80% of chargebacks can be avoided if the customer first contacts the merchant.

“Banks are making it a lot easier for customers to dispute charges; they want to keep their customers happy, and with the growth of dispute inquiries, an increasingly competitive landscape, and the ever-evolving demands of their cardholders, banks have no choice but to make the process as easy as possible for their customers,” states Monica Eaton, CEO of Chargebacks911, the world’s first chargeback mitigation and prevention service provider.

Yet, “the Chargeback Triangle,” involving the consumer, merchant, and bank, is a loophole that is often exploited by consumers.

Reports suggest that 86% of chargebacks are probable “friendly fraud” cases. Friendly fraud occurs when a buyer fraudulently tries to initiate a chargeback with their bank or card issuer by falsely claiming that the product was defective, not delivered, or unauthorized, instead of directly requesting a refund from the merchant.

In 2022, the average value of a chargeback was $192.53, with 23% of consumers admitting to committing friendly fraud. Merchants are now expected to pay over $100 billion in chargebacks in 2023.

Chargeback remediation can reverse the downward trend. Chargeback management solutions provide automated tools to reduce the time and resources required to respond to chargebacks, along with the help of agnostic solutions that assist merchants and financial institutions to standardize and automate otherwise manual processes every step of the way.

“Online retailers must make it easier for customers to reach out to their business by providing contact information that is easily visible to their customers. They must provide personal and exceptional customer service and ensure that all return policies, shipping costs, fees, and sales tax are explained up-front and easily understood,” advises Monica Eaton.

Dominion’s defamation lawsuit will be settled by Fox for $787.5 million.

On Tuesday, Fox Corp. and its cable networks reached an agreement to pay Dominion Voting Systems $787.5 million to settle the defamation lawsuit brought against them for spreading false claims that Dominion’s machines influenced the results of the 2020 US presidential election.

A resolution has been reached between Dominion Voting Systems and Fox News to settle the defamation case worth $1.6 billion. Dominion, an electronic voting company, had sued the cable news giant over baseless accusations aired on its network that alleged Dominion had assisted in manipulating the 2020 US presidential election to favor Joe Biden over Donald Trump.

Fox News released a statement expressing their satisfaction in reaching a settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, stating that they recognize the court’s findings that some of their claims about Dominion were untrue. The network emphasized its dedication to upholding the highest standards of journalism and expressed optimism that their decision to settle the dispute with Dominion in a friendly manner instead of engaging in a divisive trial would enable the nation to move past these controversies.

A teenager’s birthday party in Alabama resulted in a mass shooting that left 4 people dead and reports of at least 20 individuals injured.

According to officials, a Sweet 16 celebration turned into a violent and gruesome scene when four individuals were killed and at least 28 others were injured on Saturday night.

On Sunday, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency stated that the deadly attack occurred in downtown Dadeville at around 10:34 p.m. on Saturday. Sgt. Jeremy J. Burkett expressed that the incident resulted in the tragic loss of four lives and numerous injuries.

At roughly 11:45 p.m., the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) initiated a death investigation following a request from the Dadeville Police Chief, according to a press release obtained by Fox News.

The Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio was the location of the shooting, as reported by The Montgomery Advertiser. Dadeville, with a population of approximately 3,000 residents, is situated approximately 60 miles northeast of Montgomery.

From the information on its Facebook page, the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio provided Zumba and line dancing classes for children and teenagers, and was in the process of rehearsing for a dance showcase to commemorate its second anniversary on April 29. As of Sunday, a spokesperson for the studio was unavailable for comment.

The power struggle in Sudan continues into its second day, resulting in a death toll of at least 56 from the ongoing fighting.

The military clashes between Sudan’s main paramilitary force and the country’s military have caused a death toll of at least 56. Both sides are disputing control of the presidential palace and the international airport in Khartoum, creating uncertainty and posing a threat to Sudan’s stability and the wider region.

Violent clashes between Sudan’s paramilitary group and the army have continued for a second day, escalating the tensions that have been building for months.

“Due to the clashes near the hospital, they have been unable to leave and return to their homes since yesterday. She also mentioned that armed men from the army have been seen carrying weapons inside the hospital,” according to a report by CNN.

The clashes broke out as a result of an apparent power struggle between the two main factions of Sudan’s military regime. While the Sudanese armed forces are primarily loyal to Gen Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, the country’s de facto ruler, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), made up of various militias, follow the former warlord Gen Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, who is also known as Hemedti.

Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, the chief of Sudan’s paramilitary group, has claimed to have taken control of most of Khartoum’s official sites following clashes between his group and the country’s military on Saturday.

The Donald Trump Indictment

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by a grand jury in New York on 34 felony counts related to falsifying business records. The indictment was unsealed on Tuesday after Trump’s arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office alleges that Trump orchestrated a “catch and kill” scheme aimed at suppressing damaging information prior to the 2016 election. These charges are connected to payments made to Michael D. Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, as reimbursement for a payment made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an alleged affair during the 2016 presidential campaign

According to a statement of facts released alongside the indictment, “the defendant DONALD J. TRUMP repeatedly and fraudulently falsified New York business records to conceal criminal conduct that hid damaging information from the voting public during the 2016 presidential election.” This indictment suggests that Trump engaged in a pattern of deceptive behavior in an effort to keep damaging information hidden from the public during the election.

HISTORIC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL VICTORY

LSU emerges victorious over Iowa, claiming their inaugural NCAA women’s basketball championship.

LSU’s historic win in the national championship game marked a record-breaking performance by both teams, resulting in their first-ever title in program history. Coach Kim Mulkey, who has now won titles with two different programs (Baylor and LSU), led her team to victory. Jasmine Carson’s impressive 22-point contribution helped propel the Tigers to victory, while Angel Reese continued her outstanding performance with yet another double-double. The game took place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, and LSU secured a convincing 102-85 victory over Iowa on Sunday.

LSU displayed an impressive shooting performance in the first half, with a scorching 58% field goal percentage, including an outstanding 75% from beyond the arc. Top Asian Slot Games to Play Online

Gambling has always been a huge part of human culture. Ancient texts, dating back to Greece, Egypt, Persia, etc., mention dice games, on the outcome of which men placed wagers. What is more, archeologists have found dice dating back to Ancient China. Analyses all point to the fact that these dice were used for gambling.

Of course, the influence of China, and Asia in general, remains popular in the modern gambling industry. Macau is one of the greatest gambling hubs, known worldwide as the “Vegas of the East.” The game Pai Gow, originally from China, is now a staple of most Western casinos, from Las Vegas to Monte Carlo.

And, of course, Asian culture, history, mythology, and civilization are also a huge influence on online casinos. If you were to try and find real money casino games online, you would discover many slots that deal with Chinese, Japanese, or Asian culture. In this article, we would like to review the best Asia-inspired slot games you can play in 2023.

Fortunes of China (Concept Gaming)

Concept Gaming’s 2014 slot remains one of the company’s most popular nine years after its release. As the name implies, the game draws heavy inspiration from Chinese culture and history, especially focusing on Chinese artifacts and relics. With special, unique symbols encompassing golden coins, pavilions, and crowns, the Fortunes of China slot truly resurrects Eastern culture.

Mechanics-wise, the game may not appeal to high-reward chasers. The maximum win is only $30 x bet, around $1500. Certainly, not a lot, especially when compared to other slots. However, the simplistic 5×3 reel slot is simple, fun, and engaging, which will engross a newbie audience. The game is also great for low-risk/low-reward players.

While the game does not have any special jackpots or prizes, it remains among the most beloved slots Concept Gaming has produced. Certainly, that fact speaks for itself. With an RTP of %97, it is the perfect place to start.

Fortunate Buddha (RTG)

Realtime Gaming’s Fortunate Buddha is another well-loved game. The simple 5×3-reels are accompanied by 50 different paylines. Not only that, but players can wager anywhere between $0.50 and $50, for a maximum win of $2,500.000. Though only released in 2022, Fortunate Buddha has already become one of the best games from the RTG library.

As the name suggests, the game takes heavy inspiration from Buddhism, and its beliefs. The game’s mascot is Budai or the happy Buddha. Often confused for the Buddha, Budai symbolizes happiness, bliss, and, most importantly, good fortune. So, it is unsurprising that the game carries the name “Fortunate Buddha.”

With a relatively average RTP, a high maximum payout, and a relatively high maximum bet, the Fortunate Buddha will appeal to some high-risk/high-reward players. However, it is very unlikely to scare off newbies as well. From that perspective, it is a great game for gamblers.

Kensei Blades

In 2023, anime and manga have become just as popular as American comics. Nowadays, if you speak to the average fan of heroes like She-Hulk, Spider-Man, or Batman, they will likely be familiar with Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto. And it is precise because of manga’s surge in popularity that slots have begun dipping their toes in anime-inspired themes.

And thus, we have Kensei Blades. Betsoft’s 5-reel fantasy slot takes heavy inspiration from Japanese history, culture, and, most importantly, anime. The main protagonists are clearly inspired by games like Dragon Quest and television shows like Slayers, Sailor Moon, and more.

In terms of gameplay, the game is mostly designed to appeal to new players. With over 700 paylines, a relatively low maximum and minimum bet, and an incredibly hefty payout of over 3000 x your bet, Kensei Blades is certainly a game worth checking out, no matter who you are.

Plenty of popular slots take heavy inspiration from Ancient China, Feudal Japan, or many other Asian cultures. In fact, “Asia” is one of the most popular themes regarding online slots.

It depends on the slot. Some of the ones we mentioned are an excellent choice for any player.

5.      What are other popular themes in online slots?

Fantasy, sci-fi, adventure, and classic fruit slots.

Forest Claudette releases Two Years single via 360 MAGAZINE.

Forest Claudette – Two Years

Today, rising alt-R&B artist and multi-instrumentalist Forest Claudette announces their forthcoming project Everything Was Green on June 16 with the release of emotional new single “Two Years.” Listen HERE via Warner Records. Funky, understated, and instantly catchy, the track highlights the Australian-American’s unique talents like never before. It is accompanied by a video that finds Claudette grappling with those pesky, life-altering decisions. Watch it HERE

“I had hesitation but you didn’t, I had reservations from the beginning,” the 23-year-old croons over a white-hot beat, reverberating synths and trippy guitar flourishes, “but I ain’t saying you put me in this position — it is what it is, I wouldn’t do it different.” Claudette then elaborates on the chorus: “I couldn’t commit to two years and a house on the hill,” they sing. “Getting stressed out, looking for my recording deal.”

That tension is reflected in the video, which shows the newcomer moving from one familiar domestic situation to the next—but it’s not all blissful. “I started writing ‘Two Years’ around the same time I wrote ‘Gone Without A Trace,’” Claudette says of the new track. “I remember I was grappling with the idea of how to listen to myself or choose myself, and not feel like a selfish asshole.”

“It was the beginning of understanding my brain better and learning to communicate differently and with more authenticity,” they add. “A lot of time passed between the initial idea and the session that led to it sounding the way it does now. That time really helped me come to terms with the feelings I captured in the initial demo, and with the help of Gabe and JAHS, allowed me to focus on them from a place of clarity.”

“Two Years” arrives on the heels of the delirious “Motor in the Sand” and their throwback R&B anthem “Mess Around.” They were preceded by his debut EP, The Year of February, in 2022. That offering featured acclaimed singles like “Creaming Soda” and “Hologram,” where Claudette wonders if they deserves the spotlight. Matters of the heart were also front and center on The Year of February with gems like “Gone Without a Trace” and “Goodbye.”

Born in the Dandenong Ranges of Victoria, Australia, the rising artist also spent time in the US throughout their formative years. Captivated by singer-songwriters like Frank Ocean and Moses Sumney, they honed their craft at an experiential high school and wrote their first song at 16. Soon afterward, Claudette caught the attention of national radio station triple j, which led to co-writing sessions with other artists and songwriters.

The arrival of Everything Was Green ushers in a new shade to the seemingly endless kaleidoscope of sounds that is Claudette’s music.

Tips to Help You Organize Your Finances for a Special Event

Are you a parent planning for your child’s graduation party? Do you finally have enough free time to take that dream vacation? If so, then you’ve clicked on the right place. Everyone has a special event they’re preparing for, but the problem is that your finances may not be in the best standing. Since special occasions can cost a lot of money, it’s important that you get your finances in order first. You don’t want things like debt and other financial issues getting in the way. In this article, we’ll provide you with tips to help you organize your finances for a special event.

Get Ready to Budget

Whenever it’s time to start planning finances, the first thing you must do is create a budget. Budgeting allows you to get a more in-depth look into where your funds are going each month. What many people realize when they go over their monthly expenses is how much goes into miscellaneous purchases. This includes eating out, getting coffee drinks at a café, prioritizing wants, and subscription-based services. While it’s perfectly fine to have one or two of these, having too many of these expenses can make it very difficult to save. As you go through your budget, we recommend you start using an app that automates everything. A budgeting app can house most of your information, so you only need to enter everything once and make small changes when they occur. If you want to find an easy balance, then you can try the 50/30/20 method.

Consider Taking Out a Personal Loan

Let’s be honest in that saving up money isn’t the easiest thing in the world no matter how strict your budget is. That said, there’s nothing wrong with seeking some outside help. In the case of a special event, the best thing to do is to take out a personal loan. A personal loan can be used to pay for anything you want. They’re the most flexible loan you can apply for, but how much you get depends on the status of your credit. Though, it’s worth pointing out that it’s not without risk. It can significantly damage your credit if you miss payments. Second, you could potentially face higher interest rates if your credit isn’t high enough. Another risk you could face is paying for additional fees when you borrow, though this does depend on the lender you take the loan from. Before you decide, you’ll need to weigh the pros and cons of taking out a personal loan.

Keep Your Debt Under Control

If there’s one thing that can put a damper on a special event, it’s having to deal with an exorbitant amount of debt. Student loans, credit cards, and car payments can be a real hassle to deal with at times. As you budget to take control of your finances and save your money, you can consider making additional payments. The more you pay, the sooner your debt is eliminated. Furthermore, you’ll also build up your relationship with the lender, which will make it easier to take out additional funds should you ever need to.
