ABOUT DA HOOL //

Frank Tomiczek, aka Da Hool – one of the main guarantors for the publication of the “techno-underground” at the beginning of the 1990s. At this year a new club culture was born and would become an inherent part of the music world. All this makes the former football fan an important catalyst of the unforgettable electronic avant-garde and techno generation / Rave Nation, and he was celebrated as “Underground Hero “and one of the most well-known German DJ artists.

After the first big chart successes of songs like Rave Nation, I want you, Sueno Futuro. The worldwide smash hit Meet Her at the Love Parade followed in 1997, which became one of the biggest dance hits ever, an anthem of a whole generation, and it’s still part of the regular repertoire of top DJs across generations like David Guetta, Tiesto, Carl Cox, Dimitri Vegas, Nina Kraviz. You can say there is probably no one in the dance music scene who doesn’t know this track.

The music signature of various gold awards, Da Hool is the energetic and powerful sound with which he has been delighting the masses on the world’s dance floors for more than 30 years. His worldwide shows range from festivals like Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Mayday, Nature One, and Love Parade to cities like Berlin, Paris, New York, Sidney, Rio de Janeiro, and Ibiza.

Fetty Wap – KING ZOO

The future is now for Fetty Wap! Today, the two-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated diamond-certified rap star unleashes his much-anticipated new album KING ZOO out now via 300 Entertainment.

Listen to KING ZOO HERE.

This 17-track opus finds Fetty at his boldest, brightest, and best. He speaks straight from the heart on “Northern Lights” as his voice coasts over uplifting piano and punch 808s. He gets reflective, “Always knew that I’m’a be the one ‘cause I’m worth it,” as he reminds, “I ain’t ever said I was perfect.” Elsewhere, “Undeniable” layers his infectious melodies over a vibrant soundscape. It hinges on a chantable chorus, “Addicted to you like a drug.” He turns the heat up on “Jet Li,” igniting an incendiary and energetic flow topped off with a boast, “It would take you a year to make what I made today.” Then, there’s “Super Human.” His bars teem with emotion above a distinct bass groove. Channeling the classic bounce of his 2015 breakout, the finale “Private Party” pops off as a dancefloor-ready banger. Energy surges through his delivery as he proclaims, “This is a private party baby.”

Check out the full tracklisting below.

Fetty initially teased the album with “1738” [feat. Coi Leray]. Beyond posting up over 1 million streams and counting, XXL named it among “The 13 Best New Hip-Hop Songs This Week,” and The Source promised, “Fans can anticipate a thrilling new chapter in the artist’s career.” HotNewHipHop praised how “Fetty Wap and Coi Leray vibe well together.”

Giving back in a big way this holiday season, he also just hosted a Thanksgiving Giveaway on November 20 in his hometown of Paterson, NJ. Partnering with the local small business Mammas Kitchen, the event supplied the community with over 200 free meals. The next night, he partnered with Children of Promise NYC, a non-profit organization that supports children of incarcerated parents from the Bronx to Brooklyn, to provide a Thanksgiving dinner/celebration for 150 kids ages 6-16 in Brooklyn, NY. Check out photos HERE and the video HERE!

KING ZOO marks yet another evolution for Fetty. Given the length of time between full-length album releases, he hoped to offer up the record as a gift to fans, feeding the culture with a bevy of bangers. Fittingly, the album artwork speaks to his coronation as hip-hop royalty with its Renaissance era depiction of a king.

Last year, Fetty Wap landed a viral holiday hit with “Sweet Yamz.” One Remix notably featured the legendary Charlie Wilson and GRAMMY® Award-winning Ronald Isley of The Isley Brothers. Another Remix featured multi-platinum selling, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa.

Fetty Wap welcomes everyone to KING ZOO now!

BUGATTI BOLIDE

A COCKPIT DESIGNED FOR EXHILARATING EXPERIENCES ON TRACK

The Bolide’s incredible performance – and therefore its resulting interior packaging requirements – necessitated a monocoque even stronger and stiffer than the Chiron’s.

A new monocoque created the opportunity for a new seating position – one that leans rearwards into the automobile, allowing for the heels of the driver to sit slightly raised and for the passenger to be optimally angled towards the nose of the Bolide, mirroring similar arrangements that feature in some of the world’s most extreme racecars. Due to the raw and uncompromising nature of the Bolide there are no parts nor trim levels shared with the Chiron family; on the contrary, the interior of the Bolide has been exclusively crafted just for this project, including optimized racing seats, a high-tech steering wheel and an array of bespoke arrangements that encompass safety, comfort and performance.

Forming a connection to the captivating exterior DNA of the Bolide, where at the rear of the hyper sports car is its instantly recognizable X-shaped taillights treatment that perfectly frames a striking new central exhaust configuration, Bolide’s cockpit melds elegantly around the same daring ‘X-theme’ design. Just as instantly visible as the exterior rear lights, once inside the Bolide, the primary focal point is a visionary steering wheel that, at its core, has an ‘X-theme’ structure. In essence, the design of the Bolide steering wheel is intended to inspire total confidence as the driver and car become one – especially when taking on the extreme forces that the car will let the driver experience.

Yet with its finely balanced proportions, the steering wheel also takes on a peerless artistic form in its own right, transforming into a creative piece of artistry when the Bolide is resting. The steering wheel can be easily unfastened, taken out of the cockpit, and used to creatively enhance a space in which the Bolide owner sees fit, such as a high-level business boardroom, serving to remind them that another thrilling on-track Bugatti driving experience is never far off.

State-of-the-art modeling software enhanced the development process of the Bolide’s innovative ‘X-theme’ steering wheel. The Bugatti design team intuitively embraced hightech 3D shaping with polygonal modeling, the latter being an advanced technique established by developers from the gaming and visual effects industry. Such a technique allowed the Bugatti specialists to accurately model the steering wheel with all its advanced components and subsystems. Using this innovative process, the team was able to simulate each feature and the varying surfaces of the unit – including the multitude of complex structures, interactions, and meeting points – using just polygon meshes. The entire process enhanced quality and – equally importantly – sped up the design optimization iterations required for the steering wheel as development progressed, allowing the design team to react in real-time to each new feedback based on testing sessions located on race tracks in other parts of the world.

In fact, the design of the steering wheel was also informed by valuable feedback from Bugatti’s test drivers, who specified the need for a tight, compact and ergonomic package featuring eight key buttons placed optimally for ease of functionality when driving at breathtaking speeds on track and dealing with the G-forces the Bolide creates.

Tailored specifically for on-track driving, the Bolide must relay data in real-time to the driver in a highly precise and easy-to-interpret manner. The driver, therefore, has the option to engage with one of two Bolide display interfaces. The first mode features complex and sophisticated data requested by the Bugatti test drivers – essentially core motorsport values that the pilot needs to monitor when undertaking a high-performance on-track drive. The second mode makes available an overview of key information to the customer. This mode provides customers the opportunity to attain a sense of familiarity when being in command of the Bolide, taking on a greater amount of data inputs, the impact of G-forces and the intense overriding emotions that the Bolide experience provides.

The unique ‘X-theme’ aesthetic on which the Bolide steering wheel is formed upon flows with abundance around the cockpit, creating a compelling design unison. The Bolide’s seats are immersed in a striking ‘X-theme’ treatment that is embedded within the multipad-design of the seats. To enable perfect comfort attributes and accessibility when entering the car, the outer pads of the seat’s backrest and of the headrest open together with the door, creating an optimal space in which to enter the cockpit. The ‘X-theme’ aesthetic continues to create a synergy, in this instance featuring within the 3D-printed frame that connects the headrest pad to the door structure.

The multi-pad seats are layered with precision directly onto the monocoque, ensuring an unwavering connection is made between the pilot and their Bolide without any compromise to comfort. Such an arrangement helps to significantly reduce weight and makes Bolide the first Bugatti to have seats that are fixed, in the process ensuring a perfect seating position is realized for a high-performance track-only car. Both the steering wheel and pedals are adjustable to meet the exact needs of the driver.

Four seating size options – all of which cocoon the driver seamlessly within the interior of the Bolide – are available, including one seat package that takes in the specific and unique shapes of the customer’s body. A range of materials can be specified for the seat, including leather, suede, napa and Alcantara, and detailing that ranges from dynamic quilting’s into fine laser perforations, staying true to the personalization concept at the heart of each Bolide configuration.

Keeping the experience cool for the customer when on-track and behind the wheel of the Bolide is a lightweight climate control system, which channels its airflow out of a beautifully symmetrical quad design system incorporating four pipes with aluminum nozzles – another aesthetic connection to the Bolide’s exterior DNA.

With Bolide customers close to completing the personalization process of their on-track racing masterpieces, Bugatti’s expert test drivers, designers and engineers are finalizing the last remaining modifications to ensure each Bolide example is unparalleled in every respect. Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti Automobiles, said: “Bugatti prides itself on striving for perfection on every level within the ongoing creation of its performancedefining hyper sports cars. This uncompromising approach has also been applied to our track-only car, the Bolide, for which we’ve created a very special bespoke interior and unique driving experience that will leave an everlasting impression on every driver.”

ANDRE 3000 – NEW BLUE SUN

ANDRE 3000 Debut Solo Album Released This Friday.

One of music’s greatest auteurs – André “3000” Benjamin – will release his debut solo album, New Blue Sun, on November 17th, 2023 via Epic Records. Co-produced by Benjamin and lauded multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño, and featuring the playing of Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid, V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd, New Blue Sun is an entirely instrumental album centered around woodwinds; a celebratory piece of work in the form of a living, breathing, aural organism.

Benjamin discussed the creation of New Blue Sun – in addition to a myriad of other topics – with Rodney Carmichael of NPR Music in a special edition of the All Songs Considered podcast; listen to the interview HERE

Over the past decade, André 3000 has lived without anchors, gently floating in a breeze. Blink and you might miss him: There he is in Japan, flashing a bright smile and a peace sign, his other hand holding a custom wooden flute. There he is again, this time in an airport terminal, playing a few spare notes to pass the time. Wait, is that André in SoHo with a latte? Casually walking around like he’s not who he is? It’s why you’ve seen him in scattered social media clips in recent years: The brother is so admired that any glimpse of him needs to be preserved.

But here’s the gag: André isn’t BigFoot. He isn’t some mythical being living in the hills. He’s very much aware of his legend as an award-winning actor, one-half of the GRAMMY-winning rap duo OutKast, and master of the show-stopping guest verse. Despite the fame, he’s still a journeyman, a student of nature and creativity — searching, navigating, listening to the wind.

Wind is the most essential element of his new solo album, New Blue Sun, an instrumental offering co-produced by Carlos Niño that brings André’s flute playing to the center. André took an interest in wind instruments at least 20 years ago. Though he experimented with guitars and bass, he liked how flutes and saxophones sounded. A jazz fan, he read that John Coltrane played clarinet before he played the sax, so he bought a clarinet and started playing it. He points to the end of 2003’s “She Lives In My Lap” as a gateway to his wind instrument playing. He belts out a few screechy wails to conclude the song. In 2019, André was featured on the James Blake track “Where’s the Catch?” There, he starts playing the bass clarinet with Blake on piano. The engineer captured the session and they put it out.

“I’ve been interested in winds for a long time, so it was just a natural progression for me to go into flutes,” André says. “I just like messing with instruments and I gravitated mostly toward wind.”

The album features a core group of today’s best healing music players: Niño on bells, chimes, cymbals, drums, gongs, plants and percussion; Nate Mercereau on guitar, guitar synth and live sampling; and Surya Botofasina on keyboards and synthesizers. André plays several different wind instruments on this album, including a digital wind instrument, a Maya flute, and others made of wood and bamboo.

And before you ask: No, there aren’t any rhymes on this LP. In fact, there aren’t any words. It’s a fully instrumental record with long-running songs and equally long-winded titles. The opening song is 12 minutes and is called “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a Rap Album But This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time.”

“There’s this misconception that I just won’t do it,” André says of releasing a rap record. “I think people feel like I’m sitting around on rap albums, or sitting around and I’m just not putting them out in that way. And no it’s not like that.”  He continues: “In my mind, I really would like to make a rap album. So maybe that happens one day, but I got to find a way to say what I want to say in an interesting way that’s appealing to me at this age.”

The album’s second song is a celestial arrangement with an edgy title: “The Slang Word P(*)ssy Rolls Off the Tongue with Far Better Ease Than the Proper Word Vagina. Do You Agree?” He did that to bridge the gap between hip-hop and New Age. “A lot of times I think people, especially Black people in the hood, look at it like, ‘Oh, them people over there,’” André says. “It’s like a separation. And that’s why with the song titles, we kind of kept it playful a lot of times. Or we got a little raw because I wanted to still feel light at times. Or give it some type of balance, make it just attractive for people to come in.”

Indeed, when certain listeners consider ambient music, they think it’s too weird or too sleepy to enjoy. But there’s a lot going on within this music that shouldn’t be discounted. Not everything needs 808 drums and trunk-rattling bass. “What people will call New Age-y or spiritual-ish, people consider it heavy,” André says. “And I think, because I’m coming from rap and I knew a different audience, different eyes would be following me and looking at it. So I wanted to make sure that what I contribute to this world brings a certain lightness or humanness.”

On purpose, André wants you to slow down, reset, and sit still. Let the music unfold. See where the air takes you. Influenced by Laraaji, Brian Eno, Alice Coltrane, Steve Reich and Pharoah Sanders, New Blue Sun envisions a vast world of exploration. “In this world,” André continues, “the sun will be blue so it’s actually a different world, as if this sun we are looking at now that we are living by, that sun is going to die out at some point.” The human race will still need warmth. “I don’t even know what they’re going to look like or what their animals are going to look like,” he says. “But in my mind, it would be this cooler burning sun that’s blue.”

André conveys this through gorgeous melodies that open up and stretch out, conjuring views of the place he imagines. On “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a Rap Album…,” the listener can see the sun rising over the terrain; feel the chill hanging in the air, the promise of abundance and new beginnings. The song feels upbeat, active yet serene, a rightful score for calm reflection or walking through the park before the day gathers steam.

The same goes for “Ninety Three ‘Til Infinity and Beyoncé.” Here, the sky tussles with menacing clouds, and Diego Gaeta’s keys emit a Stevie-esque sensibility. Like Wonder, who often sang of trees and flowers and took Earth’s beauty into account, this music tries to assess our significance on the planet. Who are we beneath the breadth of a mountain? How are we so blessed to saunter gently through the meadow? Much of the album feels reflective in that way, leaving a little room for darkness to creep in.

To that end, the album’s third song, “That Night in Hawaii When I Turned Into a Panther and Started Making These Low Register Purring Tones That I Couldn’t Control … Sh¥t Was Wild,” feels bleak and cavernous, as if walking through the jungle at night. “Ghandi, Dalai Lama, Your Lord & Savior J.C. / Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy” has a haunted aura, its droning synths and cold piano chords feel eerie.

Ultimately, New Blue Sun represents the next step in André’s creative evolution, much like when he started producing OutKast songs under the name Earthtone III, when he added “3000” to his name to acknowledge the future, when he crafted The Love Below as a jazz-funk hybrid indebted to Sly Stone, Bootsy Collins and George Clinton. Making New Blue Sun was therapeutic for him. He wants it to soothe you as well.

“It’s therapeutic to be in that setting and playing and having to be fully in the moment,” André says. “Don’t think about the future, don’t think about the past. There’s something about knowing that this was created without any of the people knowing what was coming. It’s just beautiful to hear a natural happening.”

Friendly Diamonds

Certified Lab Grown Diamond Jewelry On Budget

Diamonds are forever. But is their sparkle worth that much if it’s not part of a sustainable and promising future? Enter certified lab diamonds, the ultimate choice of the young consumer who believes in being a part of a sustainable and eco-friendly earth.

Why Lab Diamonds?

Lab diamonds are an alternative to mined stones. Mined stones are in a realm of their own, no doubt. But they don’t come with an assurance that calls for a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution considering our times.

Here is some perspective. The mining industry has its pitfalls in obtaining natural diamonds. Digging the earth leads to the displacement of land and other various environmental problems that include deforestation, air pollution/emissions and surface water pollution.

In contrast, lab diamonds are created in state-of-the-art laboratories to produce a gemstone equal in brilliance, shine and hardness. They’re practically the same stone made by emulating the natural diamond creation process but with lesser carbon emissions.

Additionally, thanks to the lab diamond industry’s shorter supply chain, they are priced better than natural diamonds.

Where to Buy Certified Lab Grown Diamonds?

There is no better place to find certified lab diamonds than online. It’s a convenient way to shop and a great way to find a range of lab diamonds based on your preference.

You can shop from many online portals today. However, Friendly Diamonds is a great online store to shop from, considering they are a frontrunner in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly diamond industry.

Based in New York, US, the brand offers a range of certified lab diamonds of various shapes and carat weights at budget-friendly prices. And if you find similar diamonds on other portals, the brand is willing to price match the diamond provided certain criteria are met.

Features and Benefits of Shopping at Friendly Diamonds

All lab grown diamonds available with the brand are certified by recognised diamond grading organizations that include GIA and IGI. You can be certain that you’re taking home a lab grown diamond of the highest quality when you shop at Friendly Diamonds.

The brand also allows you to create your engagement ring by choosing your favorite lab grown diamond and pairing it with a ring setting of choice. You may also create bespoke jewelry from scratch by sharing your ideas with the Friendly Diamonds team.

If you require clarity about your purchase, you can connect with the brand’s team through a free online consultation and have all queries resolved. You can also consult in person at the brand’s New York office.

All in all, lab grown diamonds are the future and path to a more sustainable and eco-friendly diamond jewelry industry. The lab diamond creation process leaves a smaller carbon footprint on the planet. Lab diamonds have the same optical and physical properties as mined diamonds, making them a great alternative.

Ultimately, shopping online is the way to go. And with brands like Friendly Diamonds putting the needs of their customers first and offering budget-friendly deals, you’re sure to find high-quality diamonds for you or your favorite somebody at budget-friendly deals online.
