John Legend Reveals Track List

John Legend reveals BIGGER LOVE cover and track list

EGOT winner John Legend has revealed the cover and track list to his new album BIGGER LOVE which will release June 19 via Columbia Records.

“I’m so excited to introduce my new album Bigger Love to the world. Here’s the album cover painted by brilliant artist Charly Palmer. Swipe for the track list, including my amazing featured guests. This project has been a labor of love for me, something I’ve spent over a year conceiving and creating. I poured my heart and soul into these songs and collaborated with some incredibly gifted co-writers, producers and musicians.

The songs are inspired by the loves of my life: my wife, my family and the rich tradition of black music that has made me the artist I am.

All of these songs were created prior to the world being rocked by a pandemic, prior to the latest police killings in the U.S. that sent so many to the streets in protest. During these painful times, some of us may wonder if it’s ok to laugh or dance or be romantic. Lately, the images of black people in the media have been showing us with knees on our necks, in mourning, or expressing our collective outrage. We feel all those emotions.

But It’s important for us to continue to show the world the fullness of what it is to be black and human. Through our art, we are able to do that. This album is a celebration of love, joy, sensuality, hope, and resilience, the things that make our culture so beautiful and influential.

I’m under no illusion that music can save the world or solve the world’s problems, but I’ve always turned to music to help me through tough times and I know many of you have done the same. That’s why I couldn’t wait to release this album to the world. I debuted in 2004 with an album called Get Lifted. And now, as we enter the summer of 2020, I hope this new album can get you lifted again, fill your hearts pandemic, prior to the latest police killings in the U.S. that sent so many to the streets in protest. WestsideJhitt – Martin & Gina

Up-and-coming rapper WestsideJhitt has released his debut single “Martin & Gina.”

Much of WestsideJhitt’s resiliency and passion for speaking on his trials and tribulations can be traced back to his upbringing. Raised in the westside of Palm Beach, the son of two Haitian immigrants, he was always taught to go out and get it. Though he was born in 2001, Jhitt grew up listening to the generational icons of street rap: 2Pac, Boosie Badazz, and Jeezy. He first tried his own hand at rapping during middle school lunch breaks, beating on tables in the cafeteria and freestyling for his classmates.

It wasn’t until high school that Jhitt began to take music seriously. At 15, he started writing and recording songs about the violence and betrayal he saw in Palm Beach. One of his early songs, “Water Over Blood,” became a local hit, introducing listeners to Jhitt’s melodic delivery and heartfelt lyrics. “Whatever I was going through I just wrote about it and I still do,” he says. “Let’s say I get into and go through hard times with my family, I’ll write about it.”

In response to his growing local fame, Jhitt kept applying pressure, releasing three mixtapes in a year’s time. Last February, he released two songs — “Martin & Gina” and “Violent” — which have both surpassed three million plays on SoundCloud. They present two different sides of WestsideJhitt: “Martin & Gina” is a self-produced ballad, built around a piano melody that Jhitt would play in church growing up, while “Violent” is a melodic take on the dark side of street life. These releases showcased Jhitt’s unlimited potential, catapulting him to wider recognition and earning him a deal with 10K Projects. As Jhitt continues to build on his momentum, he’s dug deep into his own experiences to create catchy anthems and become one of South Florida’s most promising young voices.

Mishaal Releases New Music from Quarantine

Today, rising singer/songwriter Mishaal releases his new track and video for “I Don’t Wanna Wait For Summer.” Click HERE to watch/listen.

The DIY style video, shot by Mishaal’s cousin Sultan Tamer and his colleague Sam Schrag, shows Mishaal’s life throughout quarantine.

Mishaal released his breakout single, “Friends” ft. Powfu, last month. “Friends” was the first offering of new music from Mishaal in 2020, following his first release, “Arabian Knights,” last year.

Listen to “I Don’t Wanna Wait For Summer” and keep an eye out for more from Mishaal coming soon.

About Mishaal

Born (and raised) in Saudi Arabia to a Saudi father and Ecuadorian mother, Mishaal blends his diverse background to create incredible and unique pop music in English, Arabic, and Spanish. A multi-talented and multi-lingual artist, he also plays instruments, including the guitar. After Mishaal broke his arm in a freak accident at age nine, a doctor gifted Mishaal his own guitar to rehabilitate the arm back to health, as there were few physical therapy resources available. The guitar helped Mishaal maintain positivity and allowed him to fully realize his love for instruments and music. Mishaal had not been exposed to western music, and struggled with being bullied due to his diverse background. His uncle first introduced him to artists like Michael Jackson, Elvis, and Stevie Wonder through compilation CDs, which he purchased on trips to America for work, but it wasn’t until years later that he heard his first LP in full, Frank Ocean’s Blonded.

At age 12, Mishaal learned English through YouTube videos, and pursued better education at an international school in Jordan, where he was able to further explore his passion for computer science and eventually apply for colleges in the US. After being accepted by two prestigious universities: MIT for engineering, and NYU for the Clive Davis Institute, Mishaal decided his passion for music and the arts was the direction his heart was telling him to go in.

The world first heard from Mishaal in 2018 when he began uploading demos recorded at home with an Xbox microphone to his YouTube page. They immediately gained attention, amassed millions of views and streams on Spotify, and eventually led to many artists sampling his work.

In 2019, he followed up and posted his first official release “Arabian Knights” to SoundCloud along with a self-shot music video, which now has nearly 2.5 million views. It created an immediate buzz, and he began building a loyal fanbase. As he releases his first piece of new music in 2020, Mishaal will continue to win fans over with his incredible story; honest, relatable songwriting; and mesmerizing vocals.

IRON MAN New Release

TRUE METAL. HEAVY GRIT. IRON MAN.

IRON MAN goes back to basics in a new comic series from Christopher Cantwell, CAFU, and Alex Ross this fall!

This September, Tony Stark will be going back to basics and putting the MAN back in Iron Man!

Acclaimed writer and producer Christopher Cantwell (Doctor Doom, TV’s Halt and Catch Fire) and international superstar artist CAFU (Jane Foster: Valkyrie) will be bringing Marvel readers a new age of iron, including an all-new suit of armor designed by legendary Marvel painter Alex Ross. Don’t miss your first look at the series in the Iron Man #1 Trailer!

“I’m over the moon about getting a shot at writing the Golden Avenger. Since Bob Layton’s art in the 1980s captured my imagination as a kid, I’ve been fascinated by Iron Man, and in this new story run I’m aiming to explore the question: who should Iron Man be today? An angel? A god? Or just a humble man?” said Cantwell. “Tony’s going to try and strip the idea of Iron Man all the way down to its metal core, something that will constantly be at odds with his giant ego. We’ll see if he can truly keep his arrogant self-image in check, even as others with god complexes set their sights on the entire universe.”

Tony is putting away his high-tech toys and high-profile image so he can get his hands dirty again. But can he really lay that Stark-sized ego down?

Life isn’t always that simple, something that old friends and frustrating foes are quick to point out. If you strip a billionaire down to his bolts, does he run solid…or just overheat? For answers to these questions, along with a thrilling new era of rock-solid super-heroic action and adventure, do not miss IRON MAN #1 when it soars into comic shops this September!

The main message that they have is that they want to see the officers involved, they want to see those officers arrested. A well-known Atlanta attorney says without the video of what happened, he doesn’t believe any district attorney would have brought any criminal charges against them.”

Ava Della Pietra, Vaughn Lowery, 360 Magazine

Ava Della Pietra New Song

Back in December, 360 spotlighted singer/songwriter Ava Della Pietra’s beautiful and uplifting holiday song “Christmas Tonight,” saying it had “all the ingredients of a Christmas classic.” The preternaturally accomplished young artist began performing at age four and writing songs at age five, before starring in the original Broadway cast of School of Rock. “Christmas Tonight” saw a big response, with Tiger Beat Magazine calling it “one of the best holiday songs of 2019” and Newsday calling Ava a “rising star.”

Now, on the heels of that success, Ava is releasing her next single, “Optimist,” an inspiring new song about keeping a positive mindset. The song is one of forty that Ava has written, and one of ten already produced, to be featured on her debut EP, slated for release later this year. “I wrote ‘Optimist’ because there are a lot of problems that face society today,” she told American Songwriter. “No matter how hard it gets, we need to realize that we are one community, and together, we can have hope for a better future. With all the adversity, we must take action, rise above, and know that we will be alright. We all need a little optimism right now.” Listen to “Optimist” here.

We spoke to Ava about the inspiration behind “Optimist,” how she stays positive, and her plans for the rest of 2020.

360: Ava, thank you for chatting with us! Can you tell us a little more about “Optimist”? What inspired you to release it during this challenging time?

Ava Della Pietra: Of course! “Optimist” is all about overlooking the negatives and focusing on the positive aspects of everyday life, and just being hopeful. I think optimism is especially important during times like these, when people are experiencing a lot of frightening and difficult situations. I hope that my music can help everyone cope during this pandemic.

360: How do you stay optimistic when you are feeling down? Do you have any daily routines or rituals that help you stay focused and positive when things get tough?

Ava: If I am feeling frustrated or nervous, I usually blast out my favorite music and dance until I feel better. I talk a lot with my family and friends about anything that is bringing me down, and they usually have good advice on how to handle it. Also… I have two amazing dogs who are always there for me!

360: We hear a lot of different influences in “Optimist.” Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations? Who are your inspirations outside of music?

Ava: I love Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and many others. Outside of music, I am very inspired by a lot of female leaders such as Katherine Johnson, Marie Curie, and Jane Goodall.

360: You have had an incredible career for someone your age, both in theater and music. Do you have any recommendations for other people your age who are interested in becoming a recording artist?

Ava: I know that every kid hears this a thousand times, but work hard and follow your dreams. In my experiences, I try to have as much fun as possible with anything I’m doing. Since I know that this business can be stressful and you’re only a kid once, I try to bring out all the positive aspects of performing.

360: What’s next for you? Do you have plans to release more music or go on tour this year, after venues reopen?

Ava: Over the next year, I will be releasing various other original songs and I will continue to record new singles. I am looking forward to performing live again soon, and sharing my music with others face-to-face.
