This National Preparedness Month, Anheuser-Busch is Mobilizing Communities Nationwide to Take a Big Step in Disaster Preparedness Efforts, Starting with One Small, Life-Saving Photo 

The Brewer Launches Second Annual “Prepare For Your Pets” Campaign to Highlight the Importance of Disaster Preparedness for All Family Members 

Building on its consistent and long-standing commitment to disaster relief and preparedness efforts, Anheuser-Busch announces the second annual “Prepare For Your Pets” campaign. By continuing the strong partnership with American Humane and American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch will expand relief efforts and raise awareness of disaster preparedness for both people and pets. The newly launched website, PrepareForYourPets.com, will serve as a hub for pet owners to find information on how to prepare for a disaster to keep people and their pets safe. 

Anheuser-Busch has a proud history of disaster relief and preparedness efforts, including its flagship emergency drinking water program through its longstanding partnership with the American Red Cross dating back to 1906. In the spirit of preparedness, the brewer will also be conducting runs of emergency drinking water at its Fort Collins, CO, and Cartersville, GA, breweries to replenish its stock of emergency drinking water following recent relief efforts to provide cans of water after severe flooding, wildfires and other disasters that have affected communities nationwide. 

Disaster preparedness plans often overlook plans for pets. In fact, while 83% of pet owners live in communities that are threatened by natural disasters, only 46% have family plans in place[1]. While pet owners can often be found snapping photos of their pets, a physical photo can play a critical role in the development of a family or community disaster preparedness plan 

As part of the 2022 “Prepare For Your Pets” campaign, Anheuser-Busch is creating the opportunity for pet owners to print a physical photo of themselves and their pets to have on hand in the event of a natural disaster or crisis. This photo can increase owners’ chances of being reunited with their pet, should their phone be misplaced, damaged, or run out of battery. To encourage pet owners to take this essential step, Anheuser-Busch, in partnership with photo printing service Mpix, will cover the costs to get photos directly to people’s homes.

family, including pets who cannot plan for themselves,” said Colleen Lucas, Vice President of Community Impact at Anheuser-Busch. “Together with our commitment to preparing emergency drinking water throughout the year, we stand ready to support people as they plan for disasters and emergencies in their homes, businesses, and communities.” 

Anheuser-Busch’s very own beloved pets, the world-renowned Budweiser Clydesdales, will honor National Preparedness Month by visiting two “Prepare For Your Pets” Fairs during the month. The fairs will take place in Knoxville, TN in partnership with Eagle Distributing Company and in Fort Collins, CO, at the company’s Fort Collins Brewery & Biergarten, which will give guests an opportunity to take a photo with their pet and provide valuable disaster planning resources. 

Additionally, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation will provide a $200,000 donation to American Humane to assist its rescue operations and expand the distribution of emergency drinking water to pet shelters and rescue efforts during and after natural disasters. 

“From natural disasters to animal cruelty investigations, American Humane is on the front lines protecting animals and saving lives in times of crises,” said Dr. Robin Ganzert, American Humane’s President and CEO. “We are grateful to Anheuser-Busch for supporting our critical rescue efforts. We also want to arm pet owners with the knowledge and tools needed to help keep their pets and families safe when disaster strikes. Having a disaster preparedness plan in place will not only help save the lives of our beloved animals, but also the lives of owners, volunteers and first responders.” 

To mark National Preparedness Month and their continued partnership, the Anheuser-Busch Foundation will also be donating $1 million to the Red Cross’ Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP) to help ensure the Red Cross can take immediate action for communities in need.

Born and raised in Connecticut, Drazen’s first influences came from his parents’ record collection – Elton John and Billy Joel. As he got older, he fell in love with artists like Smino, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bellion and Two Door Cinema Club. The pieces would connect during his junior year of high school when Drazen went over to a friend’s house and wrote his first song. Although recruited to play soccer at Middlebury College, he found his focus shifting to songwriting. He developed a sinewy, genre-agnostic voice and centered his authentic perspective as a kid from the ‘burbs, adeptly swinging between R&B, pop and rap. Drazen claimed a spot on Billboard’s list of “10 Cool New Pop Songs to Get You Through The Week” with his very first single, “Let Me Down Slow,” which was released in May 2022.

NYC DOMINATES GLOBAL LIST OF MILLIONAIRES

The USA dominates the world’s Top 20 cities with the most millionaires in 2022, with New York taking the crown with 345,600 millionaires, and five other American cities —­­ San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, and Dallas ­— securing places on the coveted world’s wealthiest cities ranking. Tokyo is in 2nd place with 304,900 resident high-net-worth individuals worth over USD 1 million, and London, the wealthiest city in the world for many years, drops to 4th place below the San Francisco Bay Area with just 272,400 millionaires, according to the latest Henley Global Citizens Report, which tracks private wealth migration trends worldwide.

Two Chinese cities, Beijing (9th) and Shanghai (10th), make it into the Top 10, and Switzerland and Australia each manage to secure two top city spots, with Sydney (11th), Zurich (15th), Melbourne (17th), and Geneva (19th) all making the cut. Singapore (5th), Hong Kong (SAR China) (12th), Frankfurt (13th), Toronto (14th), Seoul (16th), and finally Paris, plummeting 3 places to 20th, make up the rest of the 2022 ranking.

The report features exclusive data from the global wealth intelligence firm New World Wealth, and includes the five wealthiest cities in each major region, and the 25 fastest growing cities in terms of millionaire growth.

Dr. Juerg Steffen, CEO of Henley & Partners, points out that 14 of the Top 20 are in countries that host investment migration programs. “The right to live, work, study, and invest in leading international wealth hubs such as New YorkLondonSingaporeSydney, and Toronto can be secured via residence by investment. Being able to relocate yourself, your family, or your business to a more favorable city or have the option to choose between multiple different residences across the world is an increasingly important aspect of international wealth and legacy planning for private clients.”

The millionaire populations of Dubai, Mumbai, and Shenzhen are expected to break into the Top 20 wealthiest cities by 2030, according to Andrew Amoils, Head of Research at New World Wealth. “Cities with strong oil and gas industries are performing especially well this year, including the likes of Riyadh, Sharjah, Luanda, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Lagos. Others on the fastest-growing list include Lugano, a Swiss hotspot for affluent retirees, Bengaluru, the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, and Hangzhou, one of China’s most scenic cities.”

Commenting on the latest Henley Global Citizens Report, Dr. José Caballero, Senior Economist at the IMD World Competitiveness Center, says “quality of life is a fundamental driver of global mobility, and for business executives, high living standards and effective institutions are significant city drawcards.”

Dr. Steffen agrees, saying “cities are centers of opportunity, innovation, prosperity, and culture. We’ve seen record growth this year, with more and more high-net-worth investors exploring investment migration solutions that offer location fluidity and optionality, enabling them to live and conduct their businesses across a wide range of different jurisdictions and cities.”

Emil Johansson pulled off the best tricks to take first place

Emil Johansson has been crowned champion of the fast-paced, adrenaline-filled, urban mountain biking slopestyle contest, Red Bull District Ride, which took place in Nuremberg over the weekend (from September 2nd – 3rd).

Thirteen Pro mountain bikers competed in the event which saw the picturesque old town of the Franconian metropolis transformed into a mountain bike slopestyle paradise.

The first Red Bull District Ride since 2017 did not disappoint. Across the event we saw a number of world-first tricks alongside some incredible combos with over 120,000 spectators turning up to watch live – a massive 70,000 for the main competition on Saturday.

Johansson (SWE), who won both the Best Trick Contest on Friday and the main event Slopestyle Contest on Saturday shared: “[This] victory means everything to me! The fact that we can bring the discipline of mountain bike slopestyle to such an unusual urban setting and attract such a large audience is simply amazing.”

He continued: “District Ride compared to other events on tour is very different because we’re basically riding, I would almost call it a downhill skate park. We’re adapting slopestyle into the city, but very few of the landings are actually dirt, a lot of them are wood. So, it’s very different compared to what we usually ride on.”

Placing second, Nicholi Rogatkin (US) loved his time on the course this year and thanked the crowd for their cheering: “[The] event was absolutely crazy. It was so unpredictable because all week we thought it was going to be bad weather, but the weather held off for us and all the boys went crazy. The atmosphere here in Nuremberg, like I’ve said so many times, is just on another level. The people support us so much. The crowd is massive all the way down the course they’re just yelling and it’s just insane. I had so much energy during my first run. Really upgraded it from yesterday’s action and put the 1440 at the end, which is the hardest, most aggressive trick that I do… So, when I landed that, I was going nuts.”

Meanwhile, the best German rider, Erik Fedko placed third on home soil with an outstanding run capped by a huge Backflip Superman Seatgrab, impressively proving why he had been one of the top favourites. 

The 24-year-old shared: “It’s a unique feeling to be here. Five years ago, I felt like a kid. I can’t find words for what it’s like to come back to Nuremberg now. My friends are here, my family is here. The Red Bull District Ride is beyond words – and above all, the atmosphere is really special.”

Overall, the top three competitors for the 2022 Red Bull District Ride were:

  1. Emil Johansson (SWE), 90.00 points 
  2. Nicholi Rogatkin (USA), 88.34 points
  3. Erik Fedko (GER), 85.32 points

The track of the Red Bull District Ride, which included street mountain biking across five districts and was about 700 metres long, demanded everything from the 13 world-class riders. Starting at Nuremberg Castle, the track went right through the old town to the Hauptmarkt square, where a massive Big Air Jump awaited the athletes. This year’s course offered them some innovative features to take the progression in mountain bike slopestyle into account. 

Tarek Rasouli, the founder and Sporting Director of the Red Bull District Ride, was thrilled with the riding level at the sixth edition of the contest, commenting: “The Red Bull District Ride has made insane progress since 2005, both athletically and in terms of the course. We saw five World’s Firsts in the Best Trick Contest yesterday, which was incredible. The contest has gotten bigger and bigger and the fanbase is growing as well. The Red Bull District Ride has become a fixed institution in Nuremberg.”

GRAMMY Award-winning multiplatinum sonic visionary, artist, producer, actor and director Kid Cudi has announced a pre-save for his anxiously awaited tenth full-length album and one of the most anticipated projects of 2022, Entergalactic. In addition to the pre-save, Cudi and NETFLIX also revealed the official trailer for the project. The show and the album will be released on September 30.

Cudi commented, Entergalactic is everything I’ve always wanted to do, create a long-form visual companion to an album. It all started with the music which helped bring this storyline and these characters to life. Entergalactic is unlike anything I’ve ever done, certainly my most ambitious project to date; I can’t wait for you to finally experience it.

He initially set the stage for the album with “Do What I Want.” Right out of the gate, it amassed 11.7 million Spotify streams and counting. Beyond plugs from HYPEBEASTXXLNME, and more, Stereogum proclaimed, ‘Do What I Want’ is a chilled-out track with an even, skittering beat with Cudi rolling through lyrics about feeling settled and creatively powerful.

Cudi also serves as an EP on Entergalactic alongside Kenya Barris, through their respective production companies Mad Solar and Khalabo Ink Society.

Kid Cudi is about to complete the North American leg of his To the Moon – 2022 World Tour. He closes it out with a bang, performing a hometown gig in Cleveland, OH for his own Moon Man’s Landing Festival. In the Fall, “To The Moon” travels to the Toyosu PIT in Japan and all over Europe, including The O2 in London, Verti Music Hall in Berlin, AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Palais 12 in Brussels, and the Zenith in Paris, with Milan closing out the tour at Fabrique on November 22. The full confirmed itinerary below.

This December, the two most famous wronged clones of the Marvel Universe will team up to take back what’s theirs! Madelyne Pryor, AKA the Goblin Queen, and Ben Reilly, now known as Chasm, will reignite an Inferno that will send Spider-Man and the X-Men into a spiral in DARK WEB! And they won’t be the only ones feeling the flames of Maddie and Ben’s revenge! In addition to the launch of the opening one-shot, December will bring on a series of tie-in issues and limited series and fans can get the full scoop right now!

The saga will be bookended by two one-shots, subtitled DUSK and DAWN, written by current Amazing Spider-Man scribe Zeb Wells and drawn by superstar artist Adam Kubert. DARK WEB #1 will reveal the true scope of Madelyne and Ben’s wicked alliance, what it means for Spider-Man and the X-Men, and the surprising role Venom will play. The sun is setting, dusk is approaching, and it’s going to be a long night.

Zeb Wells will continue the story in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #15 and AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #16 with legendary artist Ed McGuinness. Fresh off her first few weeks working as an intern at Oscorp, Ms. Marvel finds herself as the last line of defense against a bunch of deadly and dangerous experiments going haywire thanks to Maddie and Ben’s demonic machinations! Things get even worse when Kamala finds herself in Limbo, with no choice but to fight her way out!

Today, design collective LQQK Studio and Reebok have unveiled their first official collaboration featuring two iterations (GY7109/GY7110, $120) of the iconic Classic Leather. LQQK invites consumers to 109 Montrose Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. for a special event Friday, September 16 through Monday September 19, 12:00pm EST – 7:00pm EST, where they’ll have early access to the LQQK-exclusive Classic Leather (GY7109) colorway, with complimentary food, beverage, and promo apparel to be provided.

Brooklyn-based screen printer and design collective LQQK Studio has put its own creative spin on Reebok’s most well-known silhouette, the Classic Leather, resulting in printing-inspired shoe that people of all backgrounds can connect to, while encouraging creativity and evolution.

“Reebok is a classic brand that holds a special place in a lot of people’s hearts,” commented LQQK Studio Founder Alex Dondero. “I think streetwear functions in a funny way that creates a uniform that people subconsciously fall into, so it’s important to constantly evolve, and Reebok is willing to embrace that.”  

Reflecting the studio’s deep roots in street culture, art, and fashion, LQQK’s Classic Leather offers a leaf-printed camouflage design over a white gum outsole. The first pair arrives in ‘bubble gum’ and ‘pine green’, with the latter done in ‘wild brown’ and ‘bright ochre’, with both featuring detailed LQQK branding at the tongue, window box, and heel.

“When we designed this shoe, we wanted a printed pattern to be the main focus,” continued Dondero. “We didn’t want to make a white shoe that doesn’t push the envelope. That’s how we came up with this wild printed pattern shoe… The Printer’s Shoe!”

The LQQK Studio x Reebok Classic Leather capsule drops September 16 exclusively from LQQKSTUDIO.COM and the Brooklyn, N.Y. launch event,  followed by a September 21 global release for the “green camo” colorway (GY7110) from Reebok.com and select retailers.

Rosario Dawson stopped by La Bodega Baque – a curated bodega experience that celebrates the unstoppable spirit of the Latinx community and entrepreneurs with a curated collection by one of streetwear’s most significant voices and philanthropist, Angelo Baque and presented by UPS and AWAKE NY.

Today at ‘Glam Slam’ – a fashion and tennis experience, presented by IMG and Spring Studios, Serena Williams joined Nikki Ogunnaike for an exclusive 20- minute Q&A followed by an fashion showcase and fall fashion collection preview of curated looks from her S by Serena brand. The GOAT discussed being a mom; retirement and her new found “freedom,” learning from her sister Venus; and finding a work / life balance. Following the show, guests were able to shop the S by Serena retail pop-up.

Taking place during two of New York’s biggest tentpole franchises, the US Open and New York Fashion Week, Glam Slam was created to celebrate the intersection of tennis and style through a series of tennis match screenings, fashion panels, culinary offerings and DJ sets on the Rooftop Terrace of Spring Studios in Tribeca. IMG and Spring Studios partnered with Chase Sapphire for the inaugural event to develop unique program spanning fashion and sports, combining the best of both worlds and powered by On Location.
