PI’ERRE BOURNE – HONEYBERRY 2

GRAMMY® Award Winning Producer / Rapper, and SossHouse CEO, Pi’erre Bourne returns with “Honeyberry 2,” the long-awaited sequel to his 2017 fan-favorite hit “Honeyberry.” Like the original–an early document of Pi’erre’s melodic mastery behind the mic and boards–”Honeyberry 2″ is an impassioned case against catching feelings, complete with carnivalesque synths and candy-coated counter melodies. Detailing his feelings about a complicated relationship, Pi’erre uses languid melody and hypnotic repetition to drop some memorable quotes: “Say she in love but I know she lyin’/Say she want love but she’ll end up cryin’.” Listen to the long-awaited release HERE.

“Honeyberry 2” is the latest fan-favorite Pi’erre Bourne snippet to see release in recent weeks, following the February release of “IG.” “Honeyberry 2” and “IG” are the latest salvos in what’s shaping up to be a busy year for the SossHouse Founder and CEO. In April, Pi’erre Bourne prepares to make his desert debut at Coachella 2023. Last month, Pi’erre shared the new video for “DJ In The Car,” danceable highlight from his 2022 album Good Movie, available now HERE. The South Carolina-born artist is hard at work on the follow-up to Good Movie, dropping later this year. Most recently, Pi’erre connected with his SossHouse signees Sharc and Frazier Trill to release an unofficial remix of Lil Yachty’s “Poland,” with a video filmed in the titular country.

The prolific Pi’erre Bourne had a busy 2022, highlighted by two full-length projects: Good Movie and Space Age Pimpin. A versatile effort released in the late summer, Good Movie demonstrates Pi’erre’s evolution as a producer and songwriter, home to highlights like “Moving Too Fast” ft. Young Nudy, the mutating situationship anthem “Love Drill,” and the percolating  “Psane” ft. Don Toliver. Good Movie is available everywhere via SossHouse/Interscope Records. Released earlier in 2022, Space Age Pimpin is a collaborative project with legendary artist Juicy J. The project received critical acclaim from Pitchfork, The FADER, Stereogum, Complex, Hypebeast, UPROXX, Paste Magazine, and many more. Listen HERE.

Pi’erre Bourne has established himself as one of rap’s most inventive producers, and he flashed his behind-the-boards prowess in 2022 with his production on EA Monster, the critically acclaimed album by Young Nudy. As well as crafting beats for the likes of Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and many others over hte years,  he also dropped acclaimed solo projects The Life of Pi’erre 4 and The Life of Pi’erre 5, which was hailed as one of the “Best Albums of 2021” by NPR, Complex, Rolling Stone, and XXL. Pi’erre is the founder and CEO of his own SossHouse imprint – home to artists like Chavo and Sharc.

Stay tuned for much, much more from the superstar polymath as 2023 moves along.

How One Person Built a Thriving Enterprise While Empowering Others

By Victor Tabaac

Becoming an entrepreneur was an inevitable future for me, and it all started with my father and a hot dog cart. As an entrepreneur himself, my dad carved a clear path for me to follow. He purchased a cart for me when I was 13 years old, which I managed and operated by myself outside his store. I was no longer a typical teenager but a future business owner and salesman. Unlike my peers, who were more focused on play and leisure, I was sharpening my skills and learning valuable lessons about business and serving others. This experience has only grown stronger as I have continued my entrepreneurial journey over the years. My focus has always been on providing value to those around me, rather than just focusing on financial gain. This perspective has been central to my success and has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Starting my career journey as I did was a defining moment for me, and I soon realized that I was not only selling hot dogs but also providing an essential service to my community. The demanding schedule, from pre-sunrise wake ups for the early morning prep, to the daily rush and cleaning up at night, only added to my appreciation of entrepreneurship. I fell in love with the process, with the long days and tired nights, with the neighborhood interactions and the repeat customers. I was able to turn my small food cart outside my father’s shop into a thriving business, which was a testament to my hard work and dedication. This experience taught me the value of being my own boss and relying solely on my own efforts to achieve success. It is a lesson that has stayed with me and is one I am grateful to have learned from my father. Despite not wanting to stay in the food industry long-term, this experience sparked a love for entrepreneurship and a drive to pursue my goals.

As I chased my entrepreneurial pursuits, I learned two major lessons that left a lasting impact on me. The first was that I was taught the significance of giving back to the community. As I’ve grown older, I have made it a fundamental principle in all the businesses I have established to be community-driven first and foremost. I strongly believe that it is our responsibility as businessmen to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to the betterment of society. To this end, I actively support local charities and collaborate with organizations that strive to bring about positive change in the community. Through these efforts, I hope to create a sustainable and thriving business community for generations to come.

The other crucial lesson I learned in the business world along my journey was of the importance of teamwork and collaboration. In a fast-paced and highly competitive environment, it becomes imperative to work with a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals who share a common vision and goal. By pooling our strengths, experiences, and expertise, the teams I have been a part of were able to achieve greater success than any one individual could have achieved alone. By working together, we were able to overcome challenges, find innovative solutions, and ultimately reach our objectives in a more efficient and effective manner. This has taught me that the power of teamwork and collaboration is truly immeasurable and a key factor in driving success in any business endeavor.

Ultimately, the key to success in any venture is to maintain a steadfast commitment to your goals and purpose. In the world of entrepreneurship, this is especially true. Starting a business is a journey filled with obstacles and setbacks, but it is essential to remain focused and unwavering in your pursuit of success. Regardless of the industry I was working in at the time, my teams have always been dedicated to pushing the limits of technology and innovation, with the aim of providing superior service to our clients and remaining at the forefront of our industry. Whether we face challenges or opportunities, we remain resolute in our commitment to excellence, knowing that staying focused on our goals is what will ultimately lead to success.

My entrepreneurial journey has been an enlightening and rewarding experience that I will always cherish. Starting from my humble beginnings with the hot dog cart business, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and insights that I am grateful for. Through my various ventures, I have come to understand the significance of giving back to the community, working collaboratively with others, and staying focused on my goals. These lessons have not only helped me grow as an entrepreneur but also as a person. I am eager to see what the future holds, and I am confident that I will continue to learn and grow, always striving to make a positive impact while achieving success in my endeavors.

LOUIS VUITTON PRESENTS SPRING-SUMMER 2023 AT THE PEREZ ART MUSEUM MIAMI

Louis Vuitton announces the presentation of its Women’s Spring-Summer 2023 Collection today, March 14th at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).

Designed by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, the Spring-Summer 2023 collection changes the play of proportions using the Maison’s signatures, bringing the infinitely large and infinitely small together in one silhouette. This new balance is found in the collection’s scale: zippers and snaps are oversized, clasps become belt buckles, and a scrap of leather is turned into an outfit, among other reinterpretations. The collection is a stylistic exercise that re-evaluates the proportions of clothing and accessories, unsettling the codes of femininity. Each piece highlights the details and honors the DNA of the house with references like locks, clasps and trunk corner pieces-all custodians of a narrative that endures.

Originally unveiled in October 2022 within the majestic surroundings of the Cour Carrée at the Louvre in Paris, the Miami Trunk show took place at PAMM, an innovative museum dedicated to contemporary art designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Herzog & de Meuron. Located on Miami’s Biscayne Bay, the three-story building sits upon an elevated platform and below a horticultural canopy, both of which extend far beyond the museum’s walls, creating a unique shaded veranda and dynamic plazas. This iconic terrace served as the setting for the Trunk Show, which was presented twice on the 14th, at 11:00am and 4:00pm.

Both a place and a philosophy, The Actors Studio is an association of artists who, drawing from this common wellspring, have made enormous contributions to American art. Founded in 1947 in New York City by Elia Kazan, Cheryl Crawford, and Robert Lewis, the Studio began as a place where theatre artists could gather, privately, to explore new and deeper connections to the work. The founding members, a group of actors, writers, and directors, were committed to redefining the art of acting, to developing a series of techniques an actor could use to search for and express the truth onstage in the moment. The workshop went on to become the most powerful influence on American acting in the 20th century and continues today serving new generations of actors who are committed to the same ideal. Founding Artistic Director, Lee Strasberg, developed a series of techniques and exercises that became known as ‘The Method’ and changed the art of acting worldwide.

Membership is free. After successfully completing a series of auditions, the actor is invited into membership for life. Membership is bi-coastal, and to support them there are two locations. New York is The Actors Studio’s birthplace and administrative headquarters. The only branch, Actors Studio West, is located in West Hollywood, CA. All members benefit from having a home with similar activities on both coasts.

Current leadership of The Actors Studio includes Co-Presidents Ellen Burstyn, Alec Baldwin and Al Pacino; Artistic Directors Beau Gravitte (NYC) and Salome Jens (L.A.); Co-Associate Artistic Directors Estelle Parsons, Michael Aronov and Javier Molina (NYC), and Katherine Cortez (L.A.)
