Bad Bunny Becomes AirBNB Host

With a body of work masterfully dismantling cultural norms and amassing over 9.1 billion plays on Spotify, Puerto Rican singer-songwriter and actor (and occasional wrestler), Bad Bunny keeps making history in his latest endeavor as an Airbnb Host.

After staying in Airbnbs himself in the past year, the chart-topping artist is becoming an Airbnb Host for the first time, inviting select fans to spend a night aboard his larger-than-life, matte black big rig—a one-of-a-kind truck with a 53′ trailer, following the last stop on his sold-out El Último Tour Del Mundo 2022 tour in Miami.

“Being on tour has reconnected me with my fans and the energy they give me during each show in every city we visit is incredible” the artist said. “I’m hoping that by hosting guests in my truck I can give them a chance to feel like they’re on tour with me. This truck has played such a big role in the concept of my tour and my last album that I want to share this unique experience with them.”

The West Coast Customs-designed rig with chrome flames, customized grill and lights, and all leather interiors is inspired by the influential role that trucks have played in Bad Bunny‘s musical success, even appearing on his latest album cover and taking center stage during the opening sequence of his set on tour.

The trailer will offer a glimpse inside the artist’s deeply personal space, with inspiration drawn from some of his most popular music videos including a bedroom decked out in florals like “YO PERREO SOLA,” and other spaces with nods to “LA NOCHE DE ANOCHE,” and “SI VEO A TU MAMA.”

Bad Bunny will open the doors to his big rig for three individual one-night stays occurring on April 6, April 7 and April 8 for two guests each at only $91 a night—a nod to his record-breaking 9.1 billion Spotify streams in 2021. Guests will have opportunity of a lifetime to experience a space that explores Bad Bunny‘s past, present and future, both on and off the stage, including:

  • VIP tickets to his sold-out tour in Miami ahead of the stay (travel and lodging not included) and a virtual greeting from Bad Bunny himself upon arrival
  • Nods to Benito’s Puerto Rican culture and his familial roots, including a kitchen designed to make you feel like you’re in Puerto Rico.
  • A photoshoot with the big rig to live out guests’ inner superstar fantasies
  • A sound system so you can play (or sing yourself) Bad Bunny’s hottest tracks
  • A tour of Bad Bunny’s favorite Miami stops
  • a recorded virtual greeting by Bad Bunny upon arrival

To honor the Puerto Rican community, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to the Fundación Good Bunny, which works to improve the quality of life in Puerto Rican youth through the support of youth arts and sports initiatives.

Those hoping to stay in Bad Bunny’s big rig should note that this stay’s rules require following applicable local, state, and federal rules and guidelines as well as Airbnb’s COVID-19 Safety Practices, which will include wearing a mask and practicing social distancing when required by local laws or guidelines. On-site staff will also comply with local rules and guidelines while on-site and will abide by our five-step enhanced cleaning process.

Guests are responsible for their own travel to and from Miami and for any travel and lodging to attend the concert.

Bomba Exhibit × Fashion Show

Bombazo Wear, Bomba Caribbean Skirts, and Under One Roof Productions are introducing the Bomba Exhibit and Fashion Show: Resistencia y Libertá. The show presents a unique experience representing Bomba’s evolution and its historical journey dating back to the 17th century. This event is a great opportunity to join us in highlighting the Bomba movement including its traditions, culture, and trends during Black History Month. The inaugural exhibit and fashion event will be presented at El Centro Cultural Carmen Solá de Pereira; Ponce’s main cultural center, founded in 1963 on February 3rd, 2022, at 6:00 PM.

Milteri Tucker Concepción, one of the leaders in Bomba, is highly regarded as a choreographer, cultural warrior, fashion designer, and author. She is joining forces with the renowned Creative Director, Javier Pedroza, to put together this event and give the opportunity to represent Puerto Rican culture through the language of fashion. As Pedroza said, “In a political climate where Latin (x,a,o,e) communities are dealing with challenges, it is our commitment to educate the world around us to create unity.”

The multi-talented host, producer, creative and visual director, founder of his own production company Under One Roof Productions, celebrity stylist, philanthropist, and Latinx Editor-at-Large for 360 Magazine, Javier Pedroza, is collaborating with Bomba Wear, handmade and tailored skirts for Afro Caribbean and Latin cultural dance. Our Friend, Jean

A significant highlight of the event, and arguably for all of Art Basel, for the FIRST TIME IN MIAMI, the world saw Basquiat, personally and intimately like never before, with the Our Friend, Jean exhibition curated by The Bishop Gallery and hosted by Triller, a trailblazing, AI-powered global platform. Together they served up Miami’s finest at this first-ever physical and digital curated experience that focused on what’s sure to be a historic NFT auction of photographs of the legendary, Neo-expressionist artist Jean-Michel Basquiat taken by photographers Alexis Adler and Al Diaz.

Our Friend, Jean NFT Auction, was an exclusive event of art, music along with a LIVE NFT AUCTION experience. For the first time, an incredible selection of NFT drops featuring rare and personal photos of Basquiat, taken by Alexis Adler and Al Diaz, were available on the Triller marketplace with exclusive previews and purchase opportunities onsite. The Bishop Gallery chose the TrillerNFT marketplace because the Triller platform has been specifically engineered to minimize the minting process’s computing costs and complexities to reduce the carbon footprint effects and provide accessibility for creators looking to monetize through NFT sales.

Fat Joe first took the stage to perform and welcomed Stevenson A. Dunn, Jr. from The Bishop Gallery to introduce the first ever seen NFT drop, which included four rare photographs of Jean-Michel Basquiat taken by photographers, Alexis Adler and Al Diaz. Next, Busta Rhymes came out to perform and lastly, French Montana performed a set while DJ D-Nice spun the entire night.

About Jean-Michel Basquiat

Jean-Michel Basquiat is an American painter, known for participating in the Neo-Expressionism movement. He was known for his paintings, which mixed abstraction, figuration, text, and social commentary. He is also the youngest artist to feature in documenta and the Whitney Biennial.
