FLETCHER – THE S(EX) TAPES

Today, FLETCHER shares her highly awaited new EP THE S(EX) TAPES a collection of boldly realized pop songs about finding your forever person before you find yourself and needing to explore the parts of you that remain unknown as a result. Released via Capitol Records, THE S(EX) TAPES gives fans an unfiltered look into FLETCHER’s world and is available to download/stream HERE. Also today, FLETCHER premieres the video for “Shh…Don’t Say It.”The video for the hypnotic new single is available HERE.

Executive produced by her frequent collaborator Malay (Lorde, Frank Ocean), THE S(EX) TAPES finds FLETCHER working with her “babe gang” of A-list female songwriters like Caroline Ailin and Emily Warren (Dua Lipa), Mozella (Miley Cyrus, Rihanna), Jennifer Decilveo (Melanie Martinez) and more. In creating the EP’s magnetic and moody tracks, FLETCHER intimately documented her personal journey over the last few years, including the tension between being in love and learning to stand on her own for the first time.

“It’s pretty risqué but totally honest and vulnerable,” FLETCHER recently told Flaunt Magazine. “The shit we go through in life isn’t black-and-white, things aren’t perfect. I don’t have my shit figured out at all. I’m fucking emotional, a hot mess train express at all times. Like all the visuals for THE S(EX) TAPES, the visual for “Shh…Don’t Say It” was shot by FLETCHER’s ex Shannon Beveridge, and filmed during their time together in quarantine. “I wanted this EP to just be a really fucking honest representation of what it is like to love somebody, have such a connection, but also have all these questions,” FLETCHER explained in an interview with Clash Magazine.

Along with “Shh…Don’t Say It,” THE S(EX) TAPES features a string of singles released over the last few weeks including “If I Hated You,” and “The One,” as well as “Bitter” produced by labelmate Kito (Diplo, Empress Of, Aluna George) that recently surpassed 30 million global streams and also marks FLETCHER’s highest-charting single on iTunes to date.
