Sky Rompiendo Nominated for Latin Grammys

SKY ROMPIENDO RECEIVES 2 NOMINATIONS FOR THE LATIN GRAMMYS INCLUDING SONG OF THE YEAR

Today, The Latin Recording Academy has announced the nominees for the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs recognizing Sky Rompiendo with two nominations for Best Urban Song and Song Of The Year for “Agua” by Tainy and J Balvin.

The Best Urban Song and Song Of The Year awards go to the songwriters, which in the case of “Agua” were J Balvin, Alejandro Borrero, Jhay Cortez, Kevyn Mauricio Cruz Moreno, Derek Drymon, Mark Harrison, Stephen Hillenburg, Alejandro Ramírez (Sky Rompiendo), Ivanni Rodríguez, Blaise Smith, Tainy, and Juan Camilo Vargas.

Sky Rompiendo is a multi-award-winning producer, songwriter, DJ, and artist. As one of the most influential producers in urban Latin music, he is responsible for creating hits for Karol G, Rosalía, Ozuna, and Rauw Alejandro to name a few, and is the mastermind behind global superstar J Balvin.

Most recently, he’s produced hits such as “Volando” and “Volando Remix” by Mora, Sech, and Bad Bunny, Ozuna’s “Tiempo,” “Que Más Pues” by J Balvin and María Becerra, “Poblado Remix” by J Balvin, Nicky Jam, and Karol G feat. Crissin, Totoy El Frio, and Natan & Shander, and “Porfa” and “Porfa Remix” by Feid, Justin Quiles, Nicky Jam, Maluma, and Sech, all of which have been hits.

Sky Rompiendo’s works span billions of streams and views across digital platforms. He is revolutionizing the sound of reggaeton with his distinct style combining Latin rhythms with hip-hop beats. He’s been nominated for 15 Latin GRAMMYs including this year’s nominations and has won six.

The 2021 Latin GRAMMYs, officially known as the 22nd Latin GRAMMY Awards will return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Thursday, Nov. 18, airing live on Univision beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT). Preceding the 2021 Latin GRAMMYs telecast is the Latin GRAMMY Premiere ceremony, held at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, where the winners in most categories will be announced.
