“We are lifelong car enthusiasts, yes, but we are also lifelong animal lovers, and our dog Bailey is a cherished member of our family. When we started our Rolls-Royce Spectre commission, we saw the opportunity to create something beautiful which would remind us of him for decades to come. Working with the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, we were surprised at every turn with their wonderful ideas – the wood inlay, or the paw prints on the sill – which added so much to the experience. Spectre Bailey is everything we hoped for and more; it’s a joyful tribute to our loyal companion.”
— Commissioning clients, Rolls-Royce Spectre Bailey
“One of the greatest joys of a Bespoke Rolls-Royce commission is stepping into the client’s world and understanding the things they cherish. This Spectre perfectly captures their love of automobiles and of Bailey, their loyal companion. Inspiration for Bespoke comes from anywhere, and our artisans are the finest in the world at transforming personal passions into timeless art.”

Celebrating World Animal Day
To mark World Animal Day 2025, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars proudly unveils Spectre Bailey: a heartfelt Bespoke commission that honors a cherished Labrador–Golden Retriever mix named Bailey. Created for a couple who have been loyal Rolls-Royce clients for more than a decade, the commission demonstrates the brand’s ability to transform deep personal connections into expressions of craftsmanship.
Bailey has been part of the family’s life for more than a decade, accompanying them on daily routines and special journeys alike. His energy and loyal companionship inspired the couple to dedicate their latest motor car to him. The result is a moving, one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce Spectre that celebrates both automotive passion and the joy of pet ownership.
Bespoke Paint: A Coat of Character
At the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, England, paint specialists created a completely unique two-tone exterior finish for Spectre Bailey. The main body gleams in Crystal Fusion, a dynamic, iridescent color that shifts subtly with the light. The lower body is painted in Beautiful Bailey, a warm tone inspired by the soft fur on Bailey’s ear. This shade was developed exclusively for the commissioning clients and will never be repeated.
The shoulder Coachline carries perhaps the most personal touch: a reproduction of Bailey’s paw print, hand-painted in Rose Gold. The same Rose Gold finish adorns the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine, linking the car’s exterior details in a subtle, elegant way.
The result is a motor car that announces itself with grace, character, and individuality—an exterior as unique as the life that inspired it.
Interior Suite: Unique from Nose to Tail
Inside, Spectre Bailey continues its celebration of craftsmanship. The cabin is upholstered in Moccasin and Crème Light leather, chosen to evoke Bailey’s golden coat. Dark Spice and Casden Tan accents add depth and warmth, while wood surfaces are finished in High Gloss Royal Walnut veneer, offering a natural, timeless backdrop.
The centerpiece of the interior is an astonishing marquetry portrait of Bailey, crafted into the rear waterfall panel between the back seats. This lifelike composition took more than four months to complete and consists of over 180 individual pieces of veneer.
To capture the depth and warmth of Bailey’s fur, the artisan used nine different natural veneers, representing twenty-two shades of color. Each piece was carefully selected for its grain direction and tone—without any artificial staining or chemical treatment. Even Bailey’s tongue required four rare veneers never before used in a Rolls-Royce: Purpleheart, Tulipwood, Louro Faia, and Pear. Together, these materials bring Bailey to life in extraordinary realism.
On the passenger side of the dashboard, a smaller marquetry motif displays Bailey’s paw print, offering another reminder of his presence. This paw print also appears engraved on the door sills, framing the Rose Gold Bespoke treadplates.
Craftsmanship Beyond Expectation
Spectre Bailey is not simply a showcase of materials, but a demonstration of how Rolls-Royce artisans elevate personal storytelling into fine art. From the unique paintwork to the intricate marquetry, every element was developed in close conversation with the commissioning clients.
The project was one of the first projects to be supported by Rolls-Royce Private Office New York, where clients collaborate directly with designers and craftspeople to bring their visions to life. Throughout the process, the Bespoke Collective introduced new ideas and techniques, ensuring that every detail reflected both the spirit of Rolls-Royce and the unique personality of Bailey.
More than just a motor car
For the commissioning family, the car is more than transportation—it is a rolling canvas that honors the dog who has been a faithful companion for more than a decade. For Rolls-Royce, it is a reminder of what makes Bespoke so powerful: the ability to create something deeply personal and timeless.
From Bailey’s paw print on the exterior Coachline to the lifelike marquetry portrait inside, every element of this commission reflects the heart of the clients’ story. It is proof that in the world of Rolls-Royce, no detail is too small, and no inspiration is too personal to be transformed into art on wheels.
