The America’s Cup and Louis Vuitton, respectively founded in 1851 and 1854, share a heritage defined by a daring spirit and a relentless pursuit of excellence. In 1983, the House sealed its first sporting partnership with the America’s Cup. It revolutionised the competition by introducing challenger elimination rounds, known as the Louis Vuitton Cup, which opened the race up to a larger number of teams. Today, Louis Vuitton is proud to support this new edition, marked by the creation of a new governance, the America’s Cup Partnership (ACP), a symbol of openness, modernisation and inclusivity.
