Dinner on Ice, Pop-Up at ICE Santa Monica on

Cocktail Pairings, Ice Skating and more
Presented by Capital One Cafe, Dinner on Ice is a unique evening of outdoor gourmet dining and ice skating at ICE Santa Monica, on January 16, 2018, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Guests will enjoy a five-course menu prepared by MasterChef finalist Derrick Fox as well as cocktail pairings and wine bar. A limited number of tickets are available for $100 in advance, and all inclusive of skate rental fee, dinner and open bar. Guests are encouraged to dress in cozy winter attire.
The dinner will include passed appetizers, an oyster station, Peet’s Coffee, hot chocolate and gift bags from Capital One Cafe, and pairings from Ammunition Wines and American Born Whiskey. Menu includes some of Chef Derrick’s signature dishes including Endive Cups Filled with Dates, Blue Cheese, Walnuts, Truffle Oil, and Cucumber Slices Topped with Crab and Spicy Aioli; Spicy California Crab Bites on Top of Sliced Cucumber; Deconstructed Watermelon Salad with Citrus Compressed Watermelon, Shaved Cucumber, Goat Cheese Mousse, Toasted Pepitas, & Leek Vinaigrette; Miso Marinaded Local Salmon with Shitake
Mushrooms, Charred Broccolini Florets in a Soy Yuzu reduction
and Chocolate S’Mores Tartlets filled with a Silky Chocolate Ganache and topped with a Sweet Soft Meringue torched to perfection.
Dinner on Ice offers diners the opportunity to enjoy a preview of Chef Derrick’s delicious and visually impressive dishes which will become available at his new residency at Makai Santa Monica later this month.

ABOUT CHEF DERRICK:
Chef Derrick Fox is a professional drummer turned Chef. Born in Fort Myers, Florida, he has been living in Los Angeles for the past ten years. Derrick was the “fan favorite” of MasterChef Season 6, and proved that his artistic food, risk-taking, and dynamic personality would lead to a huge career in the culinary world.
