Motorcycles, Mates × Memories

Author Bill Snelling is set to release a telling autobiography about his life in the world of motorcycle sports. Set to release on January 19, 2021, this is a book to add to your New Year’s reading list.

The book tells of motorcycling social history, as seen from the saddle. Snelling creates an entertaining autobiography, recounting a lifetime spent at the heart of British motorcycle sport, and living on the Isle of Man.

Throughout the book, Snelling reflects on his lifetime passion for two-wheeling in an entertaining, motorcycle-themed memoir. He recalls the decades of motorcycling mayhem, mud and madness that have characterized his 70-odd years living the dream. From his early days at Arthur Lavington’s Velo shop to pounding the long-distance trials and the many race circuits he has ridden, his new book covers it all.

Bill admits he was better off-road than on tarmac, but he did win one race! He went on to work for Motorcycle Sport magazine, and as a dispatch rider, before moving permanently to the Isle of Man.

His book includes memories from a lifetime spent in the world of motorcycles and racing as well as a personal account of the golden years of the Tourist Trophy races. Also included are original photos from the TT archives that capture the thrill of the races.
