The WAAV

The WAAV is a massive art installation created by Fort Lauderdale-based Architect & Artist Scot DiStefano for a local affordable housing development named Poinciana Crossing. The community was developed in partnership by the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Lauderdale and Miami-based Atlantic Pacific Companies.

After receiving the word ‘wave’ as the concept for this commission, DiStefano approached it with his personal philosophy of Organtech Architecture™, a style that is based on the Organic and high-tech aspects of modern architecture. He shares that “Organtech is an architecture that takes only what is necessary, still touches the soul, and gives whenever possible.”
