POP SUPERSTAR LIAHONA’S CROSSOVER NEW SINGLE “QUE RICO SOLA” SET TO DROP ON JUNE 13, 2025
American Idol Alumni, and innovative, Singer, Song writer – Liahona Olayan is so thrilled for her first solo project, “Que Rico Sola.” Her debut album, “Just Me, Liahona,” on Lioness Records LLC, will be released later this year. Just recently returning from a missionary journey throughout Mexico, Liahona brings new bold Latin rhythms to her latest endeavor. It promises to wow both her existing Pop and now Latin fans around the world. This, get on your feet and dance song, is a guaranteed chart topper.
Liahona has been on quite the spiritual expedition. Pretty much what she says has been her calling. Liahona wants her fans to know how this has changed her life. “Leaving behind my music career and my family for 18 months while I served as a missionary in Mexico has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Being able to teach and help others, to see the joy on their faces, knowing they mattered, helping to create meaning and purpose to their lives. Being of service to those less fortunate made it all worth the sacrifice. I learned a lot about humility and patience. Now that I can speak Spanish fluently, I have been able to incorporate Latin pop into my music. I can’t wait to share this music with the world, and especially with the people of Mexico, I hope to continue to serve them through my music.”
Que Rico Sola was co-written by Alih Jey De Pena. The album was recorded and produced in Los Angeles, with Grammy nominated producer Luigie “Lugo” Gonzalez. This same team will be credited on more of her upcoming singles. Liahona plans on releasing the next single, “Strum That Guitar,” in late spring, and the next one “Cállate La Boca” in late summer. All 12 songs on this album are just sensational.
Liahona now 21, the oldest daughter of 9 kids; when she was younger, she lived in a tent on the Big Island of Hawaii, to be closer to her family and to learn about their Hawaiian heritage. Liahona lived off the land, had a pet goat, and discovered that she could write music. Liahona and her brother Ammon got their American Idol chance from making a Zoom video audition. They got a call two weeks later from the executive producers, giving them the opportunity to go to the show. Ammon and Liahona flew to San Diego, where they auditioned for the first time, and the rest is history. These now Utah siblings; Ammon and Liahona have enjoyed huge success ever since their original song “Listen To My Heart” (now called “I Don’t Wanna Be Alone”) debuted on the ever-popular television show, American Idol in 2021. The song went viral and launched their career. Receiving standing ovations from Luke Bryan, it has now garnered over 11.4 million views. Katy Perry said about their Idol appearances, “You are talented beyond belief, incredible songwriters, like you should be signed right now! That’s going to be your future, really, really, really, really soon, you’re on the path to greatness.” She compared Liahona to Lorde and Allesia Cara. Lionel Richie said, “Find that tent that you were in and put it in your backyard because I want you to write more songs.”
Liahona’s style of music is a mash up of Christian, Pop, Reggaeton, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul, and now Latin, covering a wide range of genres. Fresh faced, but with a new air of confidence, she is ready to set the world on fire. Liahona is wanting to give her fans what they have been craving, a contemporary new attitude with an astounding blend of Latin, pop, and faith-based music.
