Shang-Chi, or Brother Hand, is a superhero that first debuted in Special Marvel Edition #15 in 1973, therefore in the Bronze Age of comic books, and starred in his first solo title in 1983. He was originally the son of master criminal Fu Manchu but that changed once Marvel lost the rights to author Sax Rhomer’s properties. He’s known for using guns, swords, and nunchaku as weapons. In 2021 he’ll make his MCU debut with the standalone movie: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
