Want to Achieve a Futuristic Vibe in Your Bedroom? Here’s What to Do

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a bedroom that looks like Batman’s bat cave or have something like it came from the set of Back To The Future? Well, I think we all did at one point in our lives.

But hey, it is never too late to make those dreams of ours come true. It does not have to be elegant but getting that futuristic vibe is more than enough to make us feel good about our bedroom.

This design concept could be anything as there is no set standard as to what a futuristic room would look like. So do not be afraid to explore the possibilities since your options are endless.

But there are a few things that we need to go through before we explore the different designs.

  • Futuristic bedroom designs prefer rooms with lots of open space. Too much clutter inside the room will eventually work against it.
  • Aside from the normal clutter, our clothes should also be hidden. Unless your wardrobe consists of astronaut suites, then better keep it properly within your closet.
  • Make sure the power supply for your room allows for additional electrical load. It is always best to be on the safe side before we venture out into upgrading the looks of our bedroom.

So stick around as we are going to explore some ideas on how we could make our rooms get that futuristic feel without breaking the bank.

Window effect

Have you ever seen futuristic movies wherein houses are up high on skyscrapers with walls that are made out of windows? Yes, that is exactly what we are aiming for in this concept.

For this concept to be successful, you must invest in window fronts. These are artworks that can cover your whole wall wherein it depicts a certain landscape or any scenery of your choice.

It’s like looking out an actual window but instead, you are facing artworks. It could be overlooking a metropolis, or space itself.

You can accent this concept with lights of different shades to make it more realistic.

Floating furniture

Get the feel of floating in space through simple aesthetics upgrades for your bedroom furniture. The first thing you can do is to have a carpet or floor artwork that depicts the galaxy.

Next is to line your furniture with LED lights. This is where the amazing LED strip comes in.

This is a very flexible piece of technology that you can easily modify to fit your needs. What you will do is to select the right kind of underflow for your furniture.

Next is to outline the underside of your furniture with LED strips. Make sure they are not visible so that people can only see the glow. This way, it may seem like your bed is suspended in space.

Create that underwater living feel

This concept is quite the same as using window fronts. The only difference is that you would need underwater artworks instead of skylines.

Another challenge for this concept is to get the right lighting combination and the general ambiance correct. You can achieve this by having some LED lights project the correct kind of hue that is needed to get that underwater feel

Once the lighting and the artworks are in place, the next step is to get yourself an actual aquarium. It does not have to be big, but having an aquarium inside your room does provide some hypnotic properties.

Generally speaking, it adds to the overall concept that we are aiming for.

Monochromatic facade or the shades of black and white

This is probably the easiest to achieve among all concepts that were mentioned earlier. What you can do is to have everything in your room in either black or white.

You paint all your walls and surroundings in white, while your bed and everything on it including the other furniture will be in black.

This concept can be accepted as well with white LED lights that are placed in the right places

Pod bed

Another futuristic concept is to replace your bed with a bed that signifies a large pod. It’s like a double-deck bed but is more futuristic in design.

And you are also covered with a high solid canopy instead of having an additional bed on top. What makes this concept great is that you do not have to invest more in the overall facade of your room.

You can divert all your energy into upgrading your pod. You can start by having led lightings and mounting electronic gadgets around your enclosed bed.

You can aim for something like how it looks inside the international space station. This way you can personalize everything since it does not need major upgrades thus it is way less costly.

Conclusion

The possibilities of futuristic bedroom concepts are endless. At the end of the day, it will all boil down as to how much you are willing to spend on facelifting your room.

But don’t fret because this investment is not only for yourself but also increases the overall value of your estate. What we have shown you are one of the best options.

Well, you do need to shell out money for most of them but once you are settled with the right concept then everything else will just follow. Just plan everything.

There are many concepts on the internet that you can base your design on. Once you have chosen, just personalize it based on your taste.
