2018 North American Handmade Bicycle Show Ramps Up

New sponsors and non-profit partner announced as NAHBS makes its debut in New England February 16th – 18th at the Connecticut Convention Center

The North American Handmade Bicycle Sow, the world’s largest show for custom-built bicycles, is gearing up for its 2018 show, taking place in Hartford, CT February 16th– 18th at the Connecticut Convention Center.  The annual 3-day event, which changes venues each year, is being held in New England for the first time in the show’s 14-year history.

While NAHBS provides an interactive forum for frame builders and cycling enthusiasts to come together to share new products, ideas, and support, the artistry and craftsman of the builders transcends cycling: anyone who appreciates artisanship and craftsmanship will enjoy the show.  With a robust public attendance anticipated and a vibrant collection of handmade bicycles from a wide array of exhibitors — including international companies hailing from Russia, UK, Italy, Australia, Ireland, and Canada, giving attendees the chance to see brands they might not otherwise ever see — NAHBS 2018 is shaping up to be one for the record books.

“New England is such a bike crazy region. We’re elated to finally have the opportunity to bring the show to the area and be a gathering place for New England’s bicycle industry,” says Don Walker, Founder and President of NAHBS. “With the great location, all-star exhibitor line up, and amazing partnerships and events in the works, we think 2018 is going to be one for the record books.”

NAHBS just announced Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program as its official charity partner for the upcoming show. With its mission to better the lives of youth and young adults through the sport of cycling, CCAP provides a variety of amazing opportunities including middle and high school cycling clubs, parks and recreation programs, youth travel teams, and youth events.

“We’re very proud to be working with NAHBS in Hartford and to continue to bring cycling to the forefront in Connecticut,” says David Hoyle, CCAP’s Executive Director. “NAHBS is a special opportunity for cyclists and families across Connecticut to experience the nation’s most beautiful and unique aspects of cycling culture, right here in our state’s capital.”
