About Blenda:

Artist BLENDA, born Blenda Shimba Kabondo was raised in Sweden in a small Stockholm suburb, raised by her two Congolese parents. With her father being guitarist in their local church, BLENDA was early introduced to music and has since then studied jazz and has her roots in traditional gospel. BLENDA decided early in 2018 to take a break from music to go deeper and find her authority as a woman. Her faith in God and her feminist ideals and strong Congolese roots has created a new raw sound. She experiments with synthetic harmonies and melodies from Congo mixed up with a progressive touch of Pop, RnB, and tribe.

In 2019 BLENDA was flown out to New York, being the first time overseas she ended up signing a record deal with legendary record label Star Trak Entertainment and Def Jam Recordings and which makes her one of the few Swedish artists to sign an american record deal and will mark her new journey on international water.
