NIA AMBER – D.A.

Hip-Hop legend Trina’s protégé, Nia Amber, dropped highly anticipated single “D.A.” alongside a sensual music video while teasing her upcoming EP set to release this summer.

“’D.A.’ was inspired by a personal experience with a romantic situation that was complicated in my life at the time. I wanted to create a song that was sexy and sultry but at the same time has a direct message. I love this record, it has great balance,”  Nia told Wonderland. “The song is seductive but there are a few climatic spots in the song where listeners will bop their heads.”

Nia began her work with Trina years ago, being signed to the label in 2018. “I saw the potential in Nia years ago. I was excited about her, so I invited her to my studio session,” Trina told Wonderland. “She sang for me and I knew then and there I had to sign her. I said, if you are ready to put in the work, we can get to work. And we began our journey together. I’ve been really developing her over the years and I’m excited for what is to come for her this year.”

Nia is actively working on music to drop this year, in her own words, “you can expect BOPS.” She will release an EP this summer that will be about six songs with some dope features.

MORE ABOUT NIA AMBER:

From sharing the same stage with household names Doja CatSweetie, and Megan Thee Stallion, Nia Amber knows how to grasp everyone’s attention with her effortless feel-good vibe. Befitting in all ways – the name Nia means purpose, and she is very clear on hers. The dazzling songstress has not always had the undeniable confidence she now exudes. Hailing from Miami, Florida, the daughter of Bahamian parents once struggled with accepting her dark skin because she was teased for it. Because of this, she vowed to make it her mission to reassure anyone struggling with similar insecurities to know that they are beautiful just the way God made them. Her brand and the music that she makes centers around encouraging fans to love and accept themselves for who they are, just the way they were created. Nia has a strong passion and love for children and plans to one day start her own foundation that will be geared towards inspiring and empowering youth. This foundation will provide a platform that fosters self-love and confidence for all youth across the globe.

Growing up as a young star surrounded by arts, Nia’s mom was the first person to discover her musical gift. At the age of seven, Nia spent countless nights singing in the kitchen as she always tried to mimic the musical notes sung by her mother. Because of her deep love for music, she took chorus in elementary school and summer camp.

Before starting her journey as a solo artist, the R&B singer, songwriter, and classically trained dancer was one of five members of the girl group Amity Love. Under the guidance of Ms. Anita, Nia had a chance to build her experience as a diverse artist as she always had to strive to harmonize with four other girls. A natural stand-out, this was never easy for her, but she cherished the lessons of teamwork, determination, and compromise that came with the experience…and years later, these same attributes are what she leans on to cope with the bold music industry as a solo artist now.

In 2018, Nia Amber signed to Rockstarr Music Group, a label owned and managed by American rapper, songwriter, and actress Katrina Laverne Taylor “Trina.” She released her first single, “No More” in February 2019 and also had the privilege of being featured on the song “Redemption” by Trina and Ball Greezy. Nia released her latest single, “Swing My Way,” in August 2020, and since then, the song has captured over 100K streams across all major music streaming platforms. Producer/writer Arlon had his best work on this single as Nia set out to make a song that would make people dance and feel good.

With the promotion from her music label, Nia Amber has had an opportunity to share the same stage with renowned artists such as; Doja Cat, Big Latto, Saweetie, Lil Kim, Megan Thee Stallion, K. Michelle and many more. She has performed as a backup dancer and model for Brianna Perry’s Slow Dance, Back Der, One Dance, Cars and Them Other Bitches music videos. She was also a lead model in the Heart Break video featuring Fat Joe, The Dream and Remy Ma. For an artist from Miami, this was a significant opportunity for her promising career and has catapulted her to the forefront as a “big league” player, setting the stage for a widely successful year to come.

Her passion and love for music is driven by her purpose to uplift others, and with her infectious themes of self-love and acceptance, she is sure to succeed. Follow Nia Amber on her journey to success: InstagramTikTokTwitter and YouTube.
