In partnership with Pictures from the Fringe and Concourse Media, Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, announces a special wide theatrical re-release of Guns & Moses from September 7 through September 11, offering a 5-day exclusive cinematic engagement to more than 500 theatres for audiences across the United States, including special bonus content not previously available.

Guns & Moses initially had a limited theatrical release on July 18, 2025

Inspired by the real-life 2019 shooting at the Chabad of Poway synagogue in Poway, California, Guns & Moses delivers a powerful mix of suspense, moral courage, and cultural relevance — confronting the rise of antisemitism with unflinching resolve. The film delivers a gripping, genre-bending narrative that explores identity, ideology, and the clash between ancient tradition and modern extremism. With humor, heart and powerful performances, the film has been generating buzz, and a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 96%.

Guns & Moses stars Mark Feuerstein (What Women Want, Defiance, Royal Pains), Neal McDonough (Tulsa King, Yellowstone, The Last Rodeo) Alona Tal (Cross, Veronica Mars, Burn Notice, Broken City), alongside Academy Award nominees Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, The Addams Family, Angels in the Outfield) and Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding, Chicago Fire, Shameless), and rising star Jackson Dunn (Brightburn) rounding out a powerhouse cast that brings this story to life with intensity and depth. Guns & Moses was produced by Lee Broda, Aimee Schoof and Isen Robbins of Intrinsic Value Films, and Salvador Livak.

“From the start, Guns & Moses has broken every rule: a ripped-from-the-headlines edge-of-your-seat mystery thriller with traditional values that appeals to Christians and Jews, conservatives and liberals, old and young,” said director Salvador Litvak. “Despite our limited marketing budget, we rose above the summer noise with terrific word-of-mouth buzz and now, thanks to Fathom Entertainment, we can finally answer the question we keep hearing from our audience, ‘Why isn’t Guns & Moses playing at a theater near me?!’ This re-release gives our film the nationwide theatrical footprint it deserves and matches us with the ideal partner to meet strong fan demand and secure new audiences for an important and timely movie.”

Guns & Moses is a terrific film and a noteworthy project for Fathom Entertainment to take on, with a riveting story that warrants a special re-release,” said Ray Nutt, Chief Executive Officer at Fathom Entertainment. “Fathom’s unparalleled strength in driving theatrical awareness and generating audience engagement are best deployed with bold and daring titles such as Guns & Moses.”

More on Guns & Moses
From director Salvador Litvak and writers Nina & Salvador Litvak, Guns & Moses follows Rabbi Mo (‘Moses’), a humble leader in a high-desert Jewish community who is thrust into the role of reluctant warrior after a violent attack shakes his world. What begins as a search for justice quickly evolves into a suspenseful cat-and-mouse drama across the Mojave Desert, culminating in a jaw-dropping set piece inside a real and massive thermal solar facility, echoing Hitchcock’s North by Northwest.

The film’s authenticity extends beyond the screen. Director Litvak, now an Orthodox Jew, drew on his real-life experience with Magen Am, a volunteer security organization training Jews to protect their synagogues and communities. Litvak is also known as The Accidental Talmudist with a dedicated following across all social media platforms.

Guns & Moses is a thrilling ride inspired by real events, and a powerful reminder that courage, faith, and unity can light the way forward.

Tickets for Guns & Moses are available at Fathom Entertainment and participating theatre box offices (theatre locations are subject to change).
