Boo and Champa better known as Pierre Boo and Nicky Champa on TikTok, who have more than 10 million followers, many of them LGBTQ+ youth, tween girls, and aging moms, who love their 10-30 second videos of silly jokes, challenges, and viral dances.

They met on March 3, 2017. Each of them was looking for a role in Hollywood and Pierre was going through the process of getting over a breakup at the time. From the first moment, there was a crush. As much as Pierre wanted to take it easy with Nicky, there was no denying the connection. ”He is a very beautiful guy” adds Pierre. In fact, they are very committed to each other. And part of that commitment is sexual exclusivity.

Nicky Champa and Pierre Boo started their social media presence one year after their encounter by posting their relationship on Instagram. The reaction of the fans was immediate and stronger than expected. Soon after, the creators tapped into the potential of TikTok and created even more forms of content. They are audience skyrocketed. ‘’I think our closest supporters, our fans, they just love seeing us doing these things together. I think for many of them, we are an example of what they could have, maybe now in this moment of their lives or maybe not depending on their circumstances too which keep us going,’’ say Champa and Boo

Although they each have their own identifiers and tags, their videos are almost always the two together. According to the couple, ‘’We saw the spark when we started to post our relationship, just during covid-19, we could only post us. We are both actors in Horror Story, so we had the opportunity to be funny, to make skids.” Nicky states, ”I am American and Pierre is French so there was a dynamic between that. ” Additionally, their families participated in some of their TikTok posts. Every move they make as a couple is now watched and analyzed.

Both Boo and Champa proved that sometimes it’s hard to stay apart. What will they keep private and what will they share? We know that it is a lot of work and difficult to keep fans satisfied, especially on social platforms like TikTok as they must create new and interesting content. The couple assures that what hooks their fans about the work they do on social networks is how they show their relationship both professionally and personally. “We think our closest supporters, our fans, they just love seeing us doing these things together. I think for many of them, we are an example of what they could have, maybe now in this moment of their lives or maybe not depending on their circumstances too which keep us going… Showing our love in our relationship and social media responded great to them (fans). It is a unique thing,” says Pierre. 

What keeps them anchored in their common goal? They both dream the same thing. One person’s success is another person’s success. The public will see them as happy, successful, and sexy, together anywhere in the world.

There ToxicAF podcast can be listened to by fans on Amazon. ”It is about a conversation between Pierre and me. We just talk about everything… We talk about our relationship and how we work together for instance.” If they feel like one or the other isn’t being straightforward and honest, they bring it up to each other’s attention. In fact, they open the phone lines up so fans can call in to express their thoughts as well.

They are not influencers. They are storytellers and activists in their own right, stating that gay men are normal, lovable, and even enviable. “Showing the love we have for each other in our relationship outside of public and on social media is something that is unique.”
