How old were you at the time you started making music?
I’ve been writing songs since I was 12. After receiving my Yamaha keypad as a birthday present. The first song I wrote in college was called “Boy Crazy” and it was about my first crush.
What aroused your interest for music?
I have always been intrigued by pop culture… always been involved, whether it was forcing my friends to enter dance competitions or talent shows. I choreographed our dances and wrote our songs. I’ve always enjoyed being creative.
Who influences your music?
Life experiences and allowing myself to be vulnerable to traumatic times. Then translate into a funky tune to help overcome the pain and teach to dance.If you were given the opportunity to work with three important artists, who would they be?
Dua Lipa, Doja Cat and Tiwa Savage.
Community involvement?
I volunteer every year at the martial arts schools for kids. I donate my brand of tea and get tons of sponsorships for models and emerging photographers in the community. I also developed a mandate, “Dabeautiful Mind” to help make stress management programs mandatory for law enforcement and the military.
