Celebratory halloween brewing occasion

ELYSIAN BREWING TEAMS UP WITH GEORGETOWN

Brace yourselves, mortals and otherworldly souls, for Elysian Brewing, the masterminds behind the first-ever Imperial Pumpkin Ale, are back to send shivers down your spine this Halloween. There’s nothing scarier than standing face to face with the empty shelves of a costume store right before Halloween, so two Seattle staples have joined forces to prevent last-minute costume debacles and ensure you have something memorably terrifying in time for Halloween. Georgetown Morgue, Seattle’s premier haunted house, and Elysian Brewing are set to summon terror on the Emerald City with the introduction of “Morbid Makeover,” a sweepstake that will offer five winners the chance to undergo the ultimate haunted makeover.

As part of “Morbid Makeover,” five twisted souls will encounter an eerie transformation that will leave them spooked at the site of their own reflection. Each of the unlucky winners will partake in an exclusive costume fitting at the infamous Georgetown Morgue, where they will have the chance to take on a bone-chilling Halloween persona, guided by the nimble hands of the haunted house’s professional team of costume designers and makeup artists. From sinister doctors and malevolent nurses to ravenous zombies and creaking skeletons that are sure to haunt your dreams, each custom costume will be more hair-raising than the next and, best of all, it’s theirs to keep.

Seattle residents ages 21+ who are brave enough to enter can do so by visiting any of Elysian’s three pubs to fill out an entry form between Tuesday, October 10 through Wednesday, October 18. No purchase is required to enter, so do so at your own risk. Winners will be notified on Thursday, October 19, and following their fitting, will pick up the personalized costume and have their makeup applied on Saturday, October 28, at Elysian Brewing’s Capitol Hill location.

“We brewed a possessed pumpkin beer with Chucky in 2022, and created the world’s scariest delivery service the year prior to that,”saidJoe Bisacca, co-founder of Elysian Brewing. “Morbid Makeover is the next chapter in Halloween horror courtesy of Elysian Brewing. If you haven’t already guessed, we’re about as pumped up for Halloween as we are for pumpkin beer.”

Once equipped with an extraordinary costume, all that’s needed is a party to flaunt it at. On Saturday, October 28th, from 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Elysian will also transform its Capitol Hill brewery into the ultimate destination for horror fans and thrill seekers alike as they host a free Halloween party for ages 21+ filled with pumpkin-infused elixirs, pulsating beats spun by a menacing live DJ, pumpkin-tapping ceremonies that might just awaken ancient spirits, and a cauldron full of spine-tingling surprises.

Those located outside of Seattle can still participate by purchasing one of Elysian’s famous Pumpkin Packs, which are available nationwide. Head over to find.elysianbrewing.com  to locate one near you. Trust us, this variety pack is to die for!

About‌ Elysian Brewing ‌

Elysian Brewing opened its doors in 1996 when bold art and music defined Seattle. Over the past 25 years, the brewery team has carried this same spirit in the way they brew their beer – shaking up classic styles, using unusual ingredients, and learning from experimentation. They push creativity beyond their brews. Each beer label is made by an in-house team that pulls inspiration from design, photography, clay, paint, needlepoint, and even the occasional tattoo.
