Is Boxing better than UFC?
from Yahoo Answers:
Profile Santana D says, "The UFC is still in it's infancy stage compared to boxing. Boxers get way more money for Championship bouts than UFC fighters do for their Championship bouts, MILLIONS more. Boxing is pretty much allowed in all fifty states unlike the UFC it is banned in many states.
One problem the UFC faces is the fights are over way too soon. Who's going to keep forking out $50 a pop for pay per view events that only last 2 minutes? It's working for now but it wont be much longer before peoples minds are changed, because there's pretty much a UFC PPV event every month.
The biggest obstacle the UFC and MMA WILL face is going to be, how will in handle a death when it comes to it's sport? No matter how many rules and regulations it has in place, it's going to happen, maybe not today or next week or even this year but it's going to happen. There is only so many knees, elbows and punches to the head with four ounce fingerless gloves that a person can take before ultimately a fighter will indeed die it happened in boxing where there's much more padding on the gloves.
John McCain and every other Senator with a cause will come out in droves to ban "Human Cock Fighting" I know that is absurd, but it's going to happen it's just a matter of when. Boxing has survived attacks from the AMA (American Medical Association) and Senators will the UFC?
I'm a huge fan of UFC,MMA and it's fighters, they are truly admirable and dedicated fighters, but they do not get paid enough. The promoters are making all the money, with $1,000 ringside seats and $50 PPV telecast. Dana White seems to be the only one is making any money."
